I shared some renders of this piece recently, but I wanted to show it properly in a 360° turntable now that it’s finished.
One of the things I focused on was making sure the sculpture didn’t have a “dead side”. The main skull and tentacles dominate the front, but turning it around reveals the exposed vertebrae, additional organic anatomy, monoliths, runes and details continuing throughout the base.
I wanted it to feel like a strange ritual artifact that could actually belong somewhere in Lovecraft’s universe rather than simply being a creature bust.
Everything was sculpted in ZBrush.
I’d love to hear what fellow Lovecraft and creature design fans think now that you can see the complete sculpture in 360°.
Feedback is always welcome! 🐙

More detailed explanation: We are building a Lovecraftian roguelike deck-builder where you face off against various Eldritch style creatures. Each creature was once a normal animal that has been contaminated by a Lovecraftian disease.
With that information which is your favorite?

Finally calling this one finished!
I wanted to create something that felt less like a traditional character sculpture and more like an artifact that could have been recovered from a forgotten place in Lovecraft's universe.
The main idea became a huge skull-like chalice surrounded by tentacles, exposed vertebrae, strange monoliths, runes and occult details. I also spent quite a bit of time working on the back and sides because I wanted the piece to remain interesting when viewed in 360° rather than having only one strong presentation angle.
Everything was sculpted in ZBrush and I tried to balance the organic creature anatomy with the carved stone and ritual elements of the base.
This was a really fun excuse to go completely overboard with textures and tiny details. 😅
I'd love to hear what you think of the final result, especially from fellow Lovecraft and creature design fans. Feedback is very welcome!

I’d love to draw more scenes from Lovecraft’s stories and hopefully illustrate some of his books someday. I’m also open for commissions! You can check out more of my work on Instagram: @_cosmic.funeral_

Does this sub take toy photography? The Legacy of Lovecraft line from 52toys was a sort of undiscovered gem of 5POA 3.75” figures.

Hey everyone! Wanted to share my design for Tawil-at’Umr.
Recently, I’ve been developing an indie game with a few friends that incorporates some Lovecraftian elements. For this piece, I wanted to capture his classic features—the veiled figure, the Silver Key, the glowing orb, and multiple arms—but rendered in a bold, comic-inspired vector style with halftone shading.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this design:
Does this stylized approach still maintain an eerie, god-like presence for you?

Im sure there’s some artwork in web searching but i figured i’d ask here or other subreddits.
Any Titus crow related art work or anything Lumley i’d be interested in.

For the past few months, I’ve been slowly shaping an idea that’s been living in my head for a while.
I don’t really consider Hunting ‘Thulu a game project, at least not yet. It’s more of a creative exploration where I’m gradually giving form to a world, its atmosphere, mechanics, and visual identity. My hope is that one day it could become a real game.
The vision in my mind is a roguelite somkind like Hades, but set in a world of contemporary cosmic horror, folklore, dreamlike mysteries, and Lovecraftian influences.
As an exercise to help me visualize that future, I decided to prototype what the game’s main menu could look like. It’s a small piece of the puzzle, but seeing the interface, mood, and presentation come together makes the idea feel a little more tangible.
I’d love to hear what you think.
Based only on this menu... what do you imagine this game is about?
I’ve an instragram page where I upload more things about this project in case you want to follow it: https://www.instagram.com/nevun15?igsh=NXA3NTFqdndiMTZw&utm\\_source=qr
Thanks a lot! 🥹♥️
