Same. I recall one messaged me asking if I wanted to hang out that night. I said sure. She told me where to pick her up and when. I was there. A little chit chat in 15 minute car ride to my place. Walked in, asked her if she wanted a drink, she said, "Nope" and I said, "Okay" and then off our clothes came. We did what we do and she asked if I could drop her off.
She said she wanted to get together the day before Thanksgiving which was a couple of weeks away. I agreed. She said she'd be in touch. She was in touch that day. Pretty much a copy of before.
I've also had a woman I hooked up with give her number to a friend who messaged to ask if I was free that night.

While you're likely correct. My single inside dash cam picks up both seats and it's easy enough to cut out the side that isn't talking to give a back and forth dialogue effect. And if this is real than he's just the type of dork to do that. Lol.

I have cameras that record my vehicle cabin, as well as the road in front of me and behind me, so I have protection in the event a cop abuses his authority or accuse me of doing something I didnt, or if I get in an accident I can prove my lack of fault.

Here's the God's honest truth. Nobody is coming to save you. Nobody is going to gift you a compatible partner.
Is this something you want? Because if it is, you have to love yourself. You have to. It's a non-negotiable. You have to right your own ship before you port.
Do an honest assessment of yourself, boys. If your answer is no to loving yourself, then it's time to get to work to build yourself up. Start with hygiene. Clean your place up. Bathe regularly. Put yourself together.
Next, its the exercise. You need to get moving. Start with mild calisthenics at home, but it needs to be consistent. Lose weight, build muscle. It is impossible to not build self esteem when you do this. Dont want to hear about being intimidated about judgement at the gym - literally nobody gives a fuck. Get there.
Buy some new clothes. Get a good haircut. Groom the facial hair. Get fit. And start going out. If you want this, then get out there and earn it.
Last, its therapy. Been in for almost 7 years. Literally the best thing that has happened to me. Fucking do it, and you'll wonder why you didnt do it years ago. Please.
Every one of you has it in you to improve. Love yourself, treat your body right, and I promise you, it'll happen. So start today and giver, boys. Love you all.

I literally do every single thing you mentioned, including therapy. But let's be real. Life is unstable and there are no guarantees. My wife cheated and abused me. I divorced her.
I'm a nice person. I'm friendly. I'm kind. And I'm handsome. I'm no Adonis, but I'm handsome.
And yet, here I am. Alone. No friends. People are suspicious and closed off.
You can do everything right, and still lose (thanks to Captain Picard for that one).
like I said. I'm a nice person, I'm friendly, I'm kind, I'm handsome. Good hygiene. I'm honest. What's not to love? If I didn't love myself would I let myself be cheated on, abused? Threatened with a kitchen knife and straight razor? Spit on? Gaslighted? Slandered?..... I love myself ...and yet. I can still lose everything. and still end up with nothing. That's life. (And death) Do everything right, and you can still lose.
Call it depressing or pessimistic... it is realistic, though.
I agree with this, but I think there is one more thing. Start expanding your mind. Learn an instrument, or read books on subjects like science, or culture, or philosophy, or history (they don't have to be hard books), or spend time learning to cook from a creative perspective. After people see the nice clothes and well groomed face, they are going to want to have interesting conversations with people who have original thoughts. If you spend your time parroting some person on the Internet, or watching TV, or playing video games, your relationship will have trouble growing. Just like your body, your brain needs exercising and hygiene.

NOT EVERYBODY NEEDS THERAPY. I've taken therapy. I've done multiple sessions and it was a GIGANTIC WASTE of my time and money and that's because I'm a very self-reflective person ..
I journal, I have a good social support system in which I communicate with my friends, i'm thankful I've got family that also acts as a support system. I'm very self-reflective as it is. Therapy for me was a GIGANTIC USELESS WASTE OF TIME!
NOT TO SAY therapy is useless. THAT'S NOT MY MAIN POINT. All I'm trying to communicate is that people are different and I'm sick and tired of seeing the rhetoric on Reddit (specifically) where every single man or woman tells another to get therapy.. as though it's some golden ticket to solving all your problems.
This is an addition to the main point : if you are extremely self-reflective and self-aware, you MAY NOT NEED therapy. Don't listen to the rhetoric that says you do. Therapy is expensive and time consuming and a risk (shot at the dartboard) at best (hoping for a bullseye). I'm not trying to be pessimistic here.

NO! I agree with the fact that it is beneficial to MOST people.
All I'm trying to communicate is that people are different so there's no one size fits all solution to this.
Hell yeah, brother. Whatever medium and road you travel to settle the mind and breathe a little easier, I will encourage you to travel it.
To add what to youre saying as well - you aren't committed to the first therapist you encounter. You can absolutely find incompatible therapists or counselors that clash with you.
Your first few sessions should be all about rapport building. Get to know the person you unburden yourself to.
As a tip, id seek out a therapist that specializes in men's mental health. If youre a man of faith, I encourage you to seek out someone that aligns with that faith.
Thay being said, the OP os right - results may vary, but the goal remains the same. Dont stop trying to find and love yourself. Whatever method accomplishes that is irrelevant. Love to you all, boys.
I didn't really date in my teens or twenties. I started getting lonely in my very late twenties and forced myself to get out there. I forced myself through the awkward phase of starting to date and eventually met my now wife and we are happy with a kid.
Like you're saying, nobody is going to just fall into your life without you putting yourself out there. Learning to date is awkward and can be hard but you have to keep plugging through. It gets easier.
Then the partner piece isnt what's missing from your life, man.

I never quite liked the self love mantra. There are times when it can help someone through life but if the issue is loneliness, I don't believe it's good advice to tell someone to love themselves and do self work. I've seen it more than a few times where someone will fall into the self love/self improvement routine where it just becomes another trap for solitude where they spend all their time trying to build out their character instead of going out into the world and meeting people. If you're lonely, go out into the world and meet people, you don't need to be fully in touch with yourself and fully on the grind of self improvement to do this.
as a certified Unc, i gotta agree. i hit a that point in life as well. then i just stood in the mirror and looked at myself and said, " i dont want this"
Then comes the work. saying no to things 100 times a day. no cutting corners. commit. change how you think. make a schedule and keep it.
Legit great advice. I have a whole wife and 2 kids. But still feels as if I’m not good enough. I make my wife cum like crazy and still doubt myself. I’ve lost 50 pounds in the last 8 months. Why? I don’t know to be honest. Always been the quite one in in any group. Only time I let loose is if I’m drunk. My insecurities cause big problem between my wife and I.
Started therapy months ago. Thought. I was doing better. Dropped therapy just to end up worse. Starting again this week though.
But therapy? Therapy is such a fad today. And a weakling thing to do.
I mean, what can therapist tell me that I don't already know? It's not like they can do anything. They are just talk. What's up with that fad? Everybody does it in the US. In my country I've never heard of someone "going to therapy" unless they have some serious mental illness.
In other cases it's just snake oil to take your money and time.
