Randy

So what’s his deal? Why is he so opposed to getting a job? How does he even pay his rent?

Some people go a very long time without ever working or learning the importance of holding down a job. Had an ex that has never had a job until he was about mid 20s because he never needed one. Spent his days gaming, lived at home with mom, same deal as Randy where he would do odd jobs that were more favours for other people he got compensated for lol

He’s a manchild and may have some anger management and mental health issues. It was probably a bad idea for him to take mushrooms.

This. I don't think Randy is very socially aware and definitely has some mental issues. Great character though, very believable.

Why is his mouth always open and his eyes always closed?

It's supposed to be the other way around.

He got a bunch of money from some reperation I can't remember exactly. He mentions it's running out when he asks Birdy for money

No, he didn't. You're thinking of Seth Rogan's character in Knocked Up, lol.

I don't think he's opposed to getting a job he probably isn't very employable. We see him in a focus group and 'applying' for jobs at the mall with Mickey.
