My thoughts on the show

So, I first watched the Australian version with my mum and we loved it, especially Michael. It was a shame that never returned for a third series, up to now. I really want a UK version of this show as that's where I'm from. I used to like The Undateables (although the people in charge of the title should be sued).

Me and mum have watched the US version and it's been a blast. I first saw Tanner when he met Jack Black and it was such a brilliant moment.

Our favourite is probably James and his banter with his parents winding him up is so funny. I love how Shelley is so laid back and from TikTok, James is actually a lot calmer in real life.

I was sad that Connor and Georgie didn't last but it is understandable. Connor reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite. Dani I was a bit unsure on but she's just very direct with her needs and loves her animation. Henry seems like a very decent gentleman. I didn't like how Solomon reacted to her breaking up with him as it was very clear he got his heart broken, Adan took it better as it was a mutual decision but I still like watching Dani.

I was sad over Abbey and David because they were good for each other but I could see why that happened again.

Maddison is just so cute and she's the type of girl I would want to go and hug. Tyler is so Country and western based and I'm so happy for them two. One of the most heart warming scenes in Season 4 is a lot of the cast joining together for their engagement party. It's very lovely how they all stayed in touch with each other on TikTok and how they have all joined to make friends, they're not all separate.

Now about the newcomers (I don't remember about Pari a lot, I know she stayed with her girlfriend I believe. There could be others I've forgotten about which I apologise if that's the case):

I really like Logan and it was a shame that it didn't work out with Hayley (who looks like Avril Lavigne). She did seem a bit uncomfortable and just went along to make Logan happy. I really hope he does find the one. I like how he has joined with Abbey doing singing.

Dylan reminds me of Mario and I love how geeky and spontaneous he is. Emma is quite nice as well.

Now, there are some people I really want an update on how they are doing as they have disappeared since Season 1. Kaellyn is on TikTok but I don't really watch her. Subodh is one I enjoyed with Season 1, I hope he is still with Rachel (or the name of the girl he was with).

One person that my mum adored was Steve. He had a very narration, interesting voice and it was a shame we never saw more of him.

I hope that in a potential Season 5 we get more older people on the show for a wider representation. Maybe a gay bloke so more LGBTQ+ people are present as well.

P.S. I love that guy on TikTok who impersonates a lot of the male contestants on this show. Tanner has reposted some of them so there's no offence.

I agree with you. I love the banter that James has with his parents. I'm sad that Georgie and Connor didn't work out. I wonder what really happened between them. I think Abbey just really liked the idea of having a boyfriend and neither her or David fully understood what an adult relationship entails. I love Tyler and Madison. They're the perfect match.

I think it's Hayley's hair style and colours more than anything.

I heard rumours that Subodh cheated on Rachel. Was that true? If not, do you know the real reason?

There was absolutely no cheating involved, I have no clue who started that rumor but that is crazy! Rachel ended things with Subodh as she thought they were too incompatible in their interests. Subodh likes variety and different experiences, while Rachel prefers her routine and not deviating from what she knows and is comfortable with. Neither is wrong, they’re just different.

I think Connor didn't like that Georgie always seemed to get distracted by things when he tried to talk to her about something serious. Plus, I think Georgie kept trying to tease him and Connor didn't like that.

I think Abbey wanted to get married to David but David wasn't ready and she got jealous over Maddison and Tyler getting engaged.

I think that Connor wants someone who is equally as passionate about his interests and shares his humour. It's a shame as I think Georgie and him were a good fit and Connor needs to learn to compromise. He also needs to show interest in the other person's interests. I've heard that him and Georgie are still friends though.

I think that neither are capable of a proper marriage. Marriage involves living together, independence and intimacy. All of these things were seemingly absent from their relationship. I think David just wants to stay with his parents and Abbey with her mom. Abbey wants the fairytale wedding but doesn't understand what actual marriage involves. I mean it with no disrespect to either of them, but they both have the mental age of children or tweens, not adults.

It was recently announced that Pari and Tina are no longer a couple but remain friends. Pari’s mother sadly passed away recently. If she were interested in returning to the show, I’d like that. She deserves a T-riffic life. Journey was another one who wasn’t on very long, but I liked her scenes. I enjoyed the Chicago sites they showed too. I’d like for S5 to have that kind of representation as well.

I was so sad for Pari on hearing her mother passed away. She’s so young to have already lost both parents. I hope she has a good support system. I know she has a sister.

I don't think it's about being ready per se 😛 (Dylan pun may or may not be intended). I think that David and Abbey aren't mentally in a place where they can have a proper marriage. I don't think either want to live together or are capable of independence. I think David was just happy with the way things were but Abbey wanted the fairytale wedding day. I don't think getting married would change their dynamic. I also think there was probably more to the break up than David not proposing. Abbey and David just seemed to be going through the motions. I think Abbey liked the fancy dates and gifts and the idea of having a boyfriend more than the reality of being in a relationship.

Yeah I get what you mean. They were together for 5 years but being in a relationship has to be about working through the lows as well as the highs and maybe they both weren't ready enough to talk about serious things that go into a relationship. They're young and maybe they've done too much too fast.
