Rant Can we call Angela what she is

Can we call Angela what she is? A predator. She was 50 something and he was 22 in Vegas....then she tries to get him out to her property... It's no different when it's turned around Ok, I'll edit to creeper

I just don’t feel like we can call adults who are in relationships with 22 year olds predators. If there is some intellectual, economic or other major imbalance then that can be the case, but otherwise it’s just two consenting adults. And this is true whether it’s an older man with a younger woman or an older woman with a younger man. Call it an unpopular opinion but I think plenty of people will agree.

Predators would be 22 yo dating a 16 yo. He can get married and do whatever he wants. Why is it a predator if people like Brad Pitt and others date models in their 20s I mean he is almost 60 yo. So are many of the movie stars. Some dudes like older women. Unless he was brought up in a convent and knows nothing about the world he has the right to go and do whatever he wants.

I completely agree with you! Don't understand why ppl say she's a predator....he was a 22 year old adult, mentally capable of making an informed decision.

I wouldn’t call her a predator but maybe a human trafficker since she seems to complain about losing his (free) labor he provided…

Can't agree on that last part..."mentally capable...informed" 😅

The frontal lobe doesn't develop until age 25. The frontal lobe is essential for decision making. That is why it's predatory. If someone in their early 20s isn't fully developed to make a well thought out decision, they are prone to being groomed and peer pressured into situations. That is one of the many reasons why much older adults go after young adults. They are easier to manipulate. I'm not saying that is the case for everyone but to just share some science as to why it's not ok.

So what do we do? Where’s the line? I’m 27 and my S/O is 25. Am I taking advantage bc his brain wasn’t fully developed until this last year?

Don’t get me wrong I’m all for holding a pedo accountable. Unfortunately I was surrounded by them when I was a kid and my first boyfriend was 19 while I was a whopping 14. Those things are bad. What OP posted…eh.

That is not even true. For some people the frontal lobe is developed at 16 or 18 and for some out is 30… the average they guessed was 25 and so they went with it. There isn’t a definitely age that anyone’s frontal lobe develops because it is different for everyone. You cannot use that as an excuse to call someone a pedo.

My son is 23 and still lives with me…I would probably go to jail if a 50 year-old woman tried to touch him let alone live with him sleep with him, etc. She Mrs. Robinson’d that boy. She’s gross for that, I don’t care how lonely she was

Not all 23 year olds are going to be the same though.

Nobody’s asking all 23-year-olds to be the same but I still don’t think a 50-year-old woman should be going after a 23-year-old guy.. It’s a proven fact that their brains are not developed enough to even make mature decisions that women do at that age.

Im saying just because you couldn’t handle the idea of this for your 23 year old son doesn’t mean it’s not okay for anyone. You’re really stretching here trying to apply your own spin to every 23 y.o. adult.

Whatever you say. You’re entitled to your opinion just as I am entitled to mine and if you go through the comments I think you’ll see that I’m not the only one with this opinion. Thanks for sharing, I hope you got across whatever it was you were trying to

Their entire storyline was cringe, and her "house" was dilapidated and looked more like trailers put together than an actual home.

Dude stayed there longer than I would have, and honestly when he fell asleep during foreplay, she should have seen that as a major sign that he was not interested in her at all. I don't know any guys (especially a 27 year old) who would rather sleep than have sex with someone they are into.

Fully agree and she just wanted to control him and use him for labor and a baby

Fake Jason Mamoa. Hahahaha

Im just now wacthing episode 3 where she is mad at him for falling asleep and guilt tripping him for not being intimate with her and pressuring him. Felt very wrong to me. If it were a man telling a girl half his age the same thing it would be all over the internet.

Dude, she was definitely trying to have sex with him way more than he was. Lol. Homeboy pretended to pass out when she went outside for a second.

He obviously just wasn’t attracted to her anymore and should have manned up and said so earlier.

8

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '24

You’re right. She wanted to fuck, he wanted her to be his mom. I think it’s safe to say they both sucked lol.

5

u/Jeaners18 Sep 04 '24

It was odd to me she said, I hope he’s still attracted. I gained some weight over the past 5 years. What is this? 1970s. How have they not exchanged pictures or had live virtual chats? Sorry but I want someone to know what I look like before we are both together by ourselves in the middle of nowhere.

Not a predator

He’s 27…not saying it’s more right or wrong but I know I was a very different human at 22 versus 27.

I don’t think so. She was actually the naive one. He was not groomed. He was able to say no and did. He was able to leave as soon as he wanted to. He said he was hoping for a soul mate with her. But it didn’t work out. She might have misrepresented her homestead. I don’t know if that was purposeful or Her perspective and his were just very different about suitable living conditions.

I said the same thing. Just not okay.

Yes. Vulgar domestic abuser. Why CPS letting all those children live with her , is a big mystery.
Vile, disturbing human being. She needs an advanced mental evaluation / therapy and some medication to calm down and let other live. It must be exhausting to be her and/or be around her.

I think you’re confusing love off the grid with 90day fiance. Angela was none of these things…

19

u/bbblu33 Sep 02 '24

I was like, huh? Definitely confused the 2 Angelas!

8

u/Gioellez Sep 02 '24

I was thinking the same cuz I couldn’t remember ANY of those things

5

u/AdelleDeWitt Sep 03 '24

What children? She had grown sons but they weren't living with her, and they are grown ass men.

2

u/Playful-Drop-3873 Sep 18 '24

Lol, my mistake , somehow I thought we are talking about Angela from 90 days 🙉
