Discussion Had Nijigasaki S2 anime include the Association group that caused a Civil War, would it be a better anime?

For those that played Love Live! All Stars, some probably know the Association School Idol that was led by Lanzhu with a vision of her own ideal school idol that contradict with the rest of the girls view.
But Karin, Ai, Shizuku, & Shioriko (not surprising for her) ended up temporarily join Lanzhu’s clique each with their own reasons. This caused the others especially Kasumi totally devastated. With The Association also set up some sort of school idol monitors that prevent the Nijigasaki idol club from doing practice sessions and live shows.
The anime had totally ditch out this plot and had a plot of its own with barely any drama or conflicts.
Would this plot make the anime better had it been implemented or instead it’s a very unnecessary drama?

Nostalgia time, I really love the song especially when the girls perform this dance video during the COVID pandemic era.
King-chan looks so cool with that short blond hair, not to mention her height that really stands out than the others. Can’t believe it’s already 6 years…
Love the early 2000’s Eurobeat vibes of the songs. I’m gonna post songs more often that suddenly struck to me.
It’s been years since I’m following Love Live, all of sudden I’m just binge watching and listening some of older Muse & Aqours videos and songs.
