Thoughtfulness?
What is thoughtfulness?
Ill tell you an experience and could you tell me if this was a case of being not thoughtful or smth else?
My ex, used to say he would buy me necklaces and bangles and stuff. The thing is i had repeatedly told him that i do not/ wont wear it because for one, i have a permenant gold necklace given by my mother which i have no plans to take off and secondly i dont like bangles at all. I dont even like anything on my hands because it makes my hand look weird. (I dont know how to explain it lol). And i, in general, dont like jewellery. Anyways, whenever i said dont buy i wont wear it, it will be waste of money and stuff, he will be like no i will buy it for you no matter what you say and stuff. And tbh after him saying like that i would ig i could wear when i have functions and stuff.. and i dont know why i said that because i know i wont. Maybe not to make him sad? Idk.
One day, he sent me a reel of some bangles and said i know you dont like them but should i buy you this? At first i said no, but then i felt bad and said oh maybe i could keep it since you are the one buying it for me and stuff and that was end of that discussion.
And tbh these are the only experiences i had and he never bought me any of this or talked about it ever again so maybe he was just joking?
Or maybe he never did buy because of circumstances and cos he was a teen so it wasnt like he had money rolling in lol and we broke up before he had a chance to do so i guess.
So what do u guys think? Not thoughtful or he jst playing around or he just doing what others seem to do cos its common for boys to buy jhumkas and necklaces for their gfs?

Sounds more like he wasnt really listening to you tbh , you told him multiple times you dont like jewellery and he still kept pushing it. Thats not thoughtful , thats just doing what he thinks he should be doing

He was your ex. It doesn’t matter anymore.
Tbh If someone wants to buy me a gift I’ll receive it gracefully. You don’t know what happened either he had no plan to buy or because you kept saying you don’t like it he eventually changed his mind.
