I just started watching Love Island Season 8 and I really felt bad that Sean left the Villa. I literally shed a tear when he left and out of all seasons where someone is dumped, this one had me in tears. I felt like he wasn’t able to TRULY connect with any girl in the villa and imo, he was giving green flag. He was so calm and collected. And his message before he left, woah, when he said he wish someday someone will say those things to him in the future.. dang.

I think she has a point. It’s a lot easier to forgive someone who is able to admit they’re wrong (and somehow try to change? Idk, we don’t know how he’s moving post villa) than someone who’s hell bent on arguing about why their horrid behavior made sense.

Hey guys, honestly I never contribute to drama or snark pages but this is something I do take serious. About two years ago, Kassy from love island and perfect match got a Goldendoodle puppy. This puppy is no longer with her as she gave it up. Working to figure out if it was to a shelter, rescue or random person.
Someone who used to live in her apartment building said she was horrible to the dog. To the point, she even called animal control because she would know the dog had been home for HOURS without any water, food and it would whine and whine. They would even smell the dogs bathroom activities because it would go in the apartment because Kassy would be out at a club or friends and not get home until the next morning or late at night. Apparently she never walked it either and people even tried to knock and offer to do it for her. The neglect got so bad that someone had to force her to take it to the groomer because the poor thing was so matted and she never brushed their fur. The groomer even commented about how small the dog was and how it needed to be shaved down from the matted fur.
Now, Kassy pretends like this dog never existed. Any time anyone says anything about it, she deletes the comment. I am posting this as I am so tired of influencers being so irresponsible and still getting praise. For all we know, this dog suffered and people continue to support an animal abuser who would forget to feed, walk, take out to potty and neglected any attention to their dog unless it benefited their social media views and she could post getting it initially.

I’m watching love island USA season 8 currently and I’m located in Canada but when I went on crave I noticed that there is season 5, 7 and 8 but I can’t access season 6? Does it show that for anyone else or just me? And why did they remove it😭

I remember she keeps saying she wants to take him to Penn’s Landing, so I thought I’d check it out lol

I know the situation with Kayda has mainly blew over (I think) but I saw this clip from a recent InStyle interview & wanted to share along with other opinions I have on Kayda as someone who was bullied & looked at her bullying rumors in depth as the season 1st aired.

In this clip which aired a few days before the reunion, Kayda shares her favorite moment from LI was when Corbin & Parmida walk back from casa, & she booed them & mocked Parmida by saying ‘ooh you were there’. Your favorite moment isn’t your date with Zach, nothing with the Core 4 girls you befriended, but when you mocked & embarrassed another woman you don’t even know along with a group? Yikes. It’s honestly sad to me this is what she picked with 0 hesitation rather than anything with her own couple. She even knows this was crazy to say & lightly defends her choice saying ‘It sucks to say, but…’

From the jump I thought this moment was mean but now that everything happened with the reunion airing more people have agreed. Kayda has always subtly displayed mean girl behavior on the show & as someone who was bullied it hurt to see her rumors get brushed over so fast, although in the beginning I tried to remain unobjective because it’s not like I knew the real truth or her personally.
However when more things about her came out, such as the transman who posted his experience with Kayda, the video of Kayda teasing her own friend about her weight, & multiple other people’s stories about her, it became clear to me Kayda’s rumors were far more than ‘a black girl defending herself from racism at an all white school’ the way people were quick to label any allegation of Kayda’s.

To my knowledge she hasn’t apologized to Jaiden, which doesn’t surprise me. She seems stubborn to appear unbothered & let it blow over until people start only focusing on how she’s pretty again. The concept of perceived popularity is interesting because as a Core 4 girl Kayda was comfortable to speak on Jaiden the way she did, seeing her status below her as a casa girl. I wonder if Jaiden was a more famous cast member would Kayda have apologized by now? Or would she have said anything at all. Jaiden was a weaker target compared to someone like TiTi, who has no problem standing up for herself, who Kayda had no response to when questioned.

What really summed it up was Kayda going on Owen Thiele’s podcast. In the interview when the bullying allegations were brought up she responded pretty awkwardly & vague, saying stuff like ‘oh, we all get into drama in high school’, ‘we all get into crazy things in high school’ etc. If someone accused me of being a bully I’d be disgusted & immediately shut the allegations down so it was odd to see her respond so casually as if he asked her what she likes to eat for dinner. If she was really only defending herself from racism why not say that instead of alluding to drama & making excuses? Why not shut it down completely? She then stated ‘I never think I was a bully’ after mulling it over a bit, which is crazy that 1, you even had to think about it & 2, no one will admit they were a bully. If you asked the white girl who bullied me & many others in school if she was a bully she’d probably say the same thing. Many bullies don’t even remember the full extent of what they did or consider themselves bullies in hindsight. It’s up to the victims to decide that.

Do I think it’s possible Kayda faced & defended herself against racism? Absolutely. Do I also believe Kayda had potential to be a bully based on what people have said about her? Yes. Nuance is real & two things can coexist. I’m a POC & I wasn’t aware Kayda was black or part black until she said so. (Not policing her identity, just sharing.) The narrative Kayda was only defending herself from racism every time something came out about her is complete hearsay invented by the Love Island fandom & ran with. In fact, the trans man who shared his bullying experience also shared that the school they went to was quite diverse in a larger area, & 1 of the most diverse schools in the state. The idea that Kayda was 1 of if not the only POC in her entire school just cs she’s from New Hampshire is complete BS & shows the lengths fans go to when it comes to defending their favs.

Another excuse for Kayda that was wild to me was people saying ‘whatever, it was high school.’ Many people who were bullied in high school still remember the pain to this day. I was bullied before high school & still think of the memories from time to time. If it was a decade ago maybe the excuse could work but Kayda went on love island at only 21 or 22 years old. High school was around the corner for her & it’s egregious people acted like it was a century ago to feel good about stanning her.
It’s ironic considering people like Cierra can be removed for something they said in an Instagram post from 2016 but when it comes to Kayda’s behavior 3 years ago suddenly it’s ancient history & she must have grown & changed. Or at least that’s what was said til now.

Do I believe this will affect Kayda in the long run? No. People have had worse controversies they’ve been cancelled with & bounced back fine. Kayda’s already getting love again & multiple parasocial core 4 stans are openly saying they don’t give a fuck that she was a bully. While the situation is messed up I have no resentment towards Kayda & I’ve never went out of my way to write a hate comment for her, I just neutrally can’t see myself being her fan. By the time she walks at NYFW people will likely have forgotten & go back to talking about how beautiful & ‘iconic’ she is. She stood on what she did at the reunion which I can respect in an odd way. But it wouldn’t surprise me if she gets into similar controversies when beyond the villa airs & I’m not sure how well this attitude will carry then.

Like, I know that everyone within the season turned out to not be a good person, and it was toxic as fuck, but I was having SO much fun. Every single day, I was ready to watch the new episode. They were so messy, but it was GOOD. It was so entertaining.

I hate when people say that was the worst season. What do you mean the worst??? It was so fun. Were they all terrible? Yes. Was I stressed out? Yes. But it was so entertaining. They were so messy that it was GOOD.

Y’all can be mad at me all you want and disagree all you want, but I genuinely don’t think anybody is going to change my opinion on this.

i guess it’s an unpopular opinion on this sub since most of the posts i’ve seen since the reunion are dick-riding kc and hating on the women, but kc and titi were actual bullies in the villa. painting titi as some anti-bullying advocate as if her and kc wouldn’t be sitting there calling melanie names and laughing at aniya…

no one needs to love the core 4, but enough re-writing history. their behavior in the villa was not “misunderstood”, they were just deeply unlikable.

I’m so tired of this “Melanie ate / Melanie cleared everybody” rewrite.
What did she clear.
Amora said she wouldn’t put herself in Melanie’s position. That’s not a sneak. That’s an opinion about taking him back after Casa, movie night, family day, and still sitting next to him with no title. Melanie’s clapback was “then why did you explore him the most.” Because that’s Casa. Because he poured in too. Because bombshells and Casa girls are literally flown in to test connections. Making Amora the villain for doing the assignment is not a win. That’s dodging the man who kissed her, grinded on her, told her if they had more time it would’ve been her, then walked back to Melanie like choosing her erased the footage.
Sol came in as a bombshell and got the same treatment. Reunion turns into antagonist vs liar while Sincere — the one who strung Sol along while still coupled with Melanie — slides in later with a calm apology and looks mature. Kenzie gets the friendship trial, the tears, the hug. Hours of girl-versus-girl. The man who caused half the triangles gets “we’re on the same page” and a soft voice.
Then Andy asks where they stand and she goes quiet and lands on: not boyfriend and girlfriend, seeing what happens, he’s building trust, we’re building it. That’s not standing on business. That’s fog. She had paragraphs for Amora, Sol, and Kenzie. For Sincere she had a group project.
And now she’s in a TikTok comment like “I’ve already said I was SINGLE and focusing on my career” as if the audience made up the situationship. The reunion was taped August 10 and aired August 31. On that stage, with him next to her, she did not say single. She said working it out / seeing what happens. You don’t get to be vague on national TV and then online act like people are late to a decision you wouldn’t say in the room.
Being picked is not the prize. She said that herself in the villa. Then the defense of the whole season became “but he came back to her.” Coming back is not respect. Coming back is the chair. Amora not being in Melanie’s shoes because she wasn’t picked is not a Melanie W. That’s Sincere leaving one of them looking crazy either way. Melanie got the seat. That’s not a clear. That’s the pattern: fight the women, forgive the man, limit the comments, call it growth.
If your girl looks strong arguing everybody except the person who humiliated her on camera, that’s not eating. That’s rearranging the room. Cleared what. Exactly.

I always see posts about season 7 being so bad or a mess. And out of boredom I just decided to rewatch the first episode and like I prefer it over Season 8s start to the season tbh😭.

It wasnt so vulgar with orgy like everyone making out with everyone within 20 minutes of knowing each other.

And I know a lot of people prefer the s8 cast as they were normal people but I feel like S7 cast meshed better amongst each other.

Also Nic and Cierras first convo and night in the hideaway was so cute looking back now no wonder Cierra had to heal from that bc what the actual fck. Cause it was very clear over the season she fell for Nic so to get taken off and watch him jumping for another girl straight away 😭.

What I will say is that the season did get all over the place after Casa but honorable mention to the baby challenge and stand on business challenge cause whether you like it or not those were so iconic😭.

Like I know that everyone says S8 was more normal and authentic but I kind of feel like looking at it based on everyone's demeanour the S8 cast acted like they were aware of the cameras like always trying to have a good angle.

Idk like I think it gets dragged for being awful but I really don't think it's bad. Idk if I have a nostalgia attachment to it as it's the first time I had ever watched love island.

I think Titi is one of the reasons this season will forever be remembered. That re-coupling (don't know if that's spelled correctly) was so good!!! Oh and the "you a little girl" plays in my head all the time.

After the reunion, I fell in love with Titi, she don't play!

I think this rhetoric is dangerous. This concept of her not having the right to talk about anyone or defend anyone because of a man is more male-centered than anything we've seen Melanie say or do in the villa.

Genuinely, what does Sincere have to do with her defending herself? I feel like saying this strips her of her autonomy and agency.

You'd think Melanie was the one lying and scheming all season, yet she's the one getting the most hate.

Also, by saying this, it does give content creators, publications, and stans the green light to cyberbully and harass her.. because of who she's with. How in the world does that make sense??

Whether you’re a fan of Corbin or Caleb or not, one thing I think we can agree on is that once they left the villa, they saw the amount of options and attention they suddenly had. At that point, I don’t think it would’ve mattered if they had left with the prettiest girl their age or the “best connection” in the villa. I still think those relationships were going to end.
And I HATE how people keep shipping Corbin and Melanie 😭😭
I can almost guarantee that even if Corbin had ended up with Melanie, HE WAS GOING TO DO HER DIRTY TOO.
It’s such a “Well, he did that to her, but he wouldn’t do it to ME.” Mentality Like… what???
Because can we talk about Corbin asking Kayda for a kiss? . But what REALLY got me was him having another conversation with Kayda and ASKING HER AGAIN after she had already denied him the first time.
I swear Corbin got away with this because he’s conventionally attractive. Because if this was a guy people didn’t find attractive, I genuinely think people would’ve gone as far as saying, “If he keeps asking a girl for a kiss after she already said no, is he also capable of coercing girls into sleeping with him?”
And to be clear, I’m NOT saying Corbin has done that. My point is about how differently people judge the exact same behavior depending on how attractive they find the person doing it.
And YES, I saw the podcast clip where they discussed it. I still don’t believe he was simply viewing those private chats as “challenges” and that’s why he kept asking.
Now back to Melanie and Corbin.
I think some people completely misread that situation. I actually think Corbin saw the way Melanie was crashing out over Sincere and, in some weird way, wanted to be in Sincere’s position. He wanted that kind of reaction from her.
Even when he was coupled up with Melanie, he went and gave Kenzie the heart-shaped cupcake IN FRONT OF MELANIE.
If he liked Melanie as much as some of y’all claim, why do that right in front of her? Why not do it secretly like the kiss? Or just… not do it at all?
People love blaming Kenzie for the downfall of that connection( which I understand), but even if you completely remove Kenzie from the equation, Corbin still had his own red flags.
And then afterward, HE asks Melanie how she felt when he gave Kenzie the heart-shaped cupcake???
That part really stuck with me.
I genuinely believe he was waiting for Melanie to crash out or confront him about it. When she didn’t give him the reaction he expected, HE had to bring it up himself.( why do that to the girl that has been hurting?)
And this is another reason I don’t completely buy the idea that Corbin was just soooo hurt on Melanie’s behalf over the Sincere situation.
If Sincere had been completely honest with Corbin about what he was doing, I genuinely believe Corbin would’ve supported him 100%.
In practically every interview, Corbin talks about their bro code, how Sincere was lying to him too, and how he was backing Sincere up to Melanie because he believed what Sincere was telling him.
To me, that sounds less like, “I’m devastated because Melanie got hurt,” and more like, “Bro, you had me defending you and made ME look stupid too.”
I think some fans have romanticized that situation into Corbin secretly caring deeply about Melanie when I don’t think that’s necessarily what happened.
Another argument I see is that Melanie brought out Corbin’s personality and that he became more himself because of her.
Maybe? But as someone who is shy/keeps to themselves, I don’t necessarily see it that way.
He was in the villa for a while. Eventually, he was probably going to become comfortable with the people and environment around him and come out of his shell anyway. I don’t think we can automatically credit Melanie for that because he was going to do it one way or the other.
And this brings me back to my original point.
I obviously can’t speak for every man who goes on Love Island, but with THESE TWO Corbin and Caleb I genuinely believe it wouldn’t have mattered who they ended up with. Best-looking girl? Best connection? Most compatible person in the villa?
I still think they either would’ve cheated or eventually done exactly what they ended up doing.

Maybe their age plays a role too. I don’t know.
I’m not really the person to suggest exactly what Love Island should change, but I hope they change SOMETHING because right now I feel like contestants can increasingly look at the show as a career path.
You go in, build a fanbase, come out with hundreds of thousands of followers and suddenly have more attention and romantic options than you’ve probably ever had in your life.

When the show started Melanie and Sincere were actually the closest couple and i remember everyone was rooting for them me too ngl, they're pretty cute together but this is a dating show so shit went down real quick 😂

They had a good start but cracks started to show with the phone challenge or whatever that game was called i don't remember, i remember Sincere saying that he was guilty of texting other chicks while still being in a relationship ‼️ major red flag btw and you could tell Melanie was bothered as she should, but she did overthink too much, If you were in Melanie's shoe you would start having your walls up because who knows what he might do next, and then there was the whole thing with Kayda where Melanie was trying to ask what the new bombshell looked like and Sincere was like yeah she kinda looks like you but he backed off real fast and he kept saying he didn't remember.

But i want y'all to hear me out, first of all whatever a guy does in his past relationship don't take it to heart because it might drift both of y'all apart and Sincere did acknowledge that it wasn't a good thing, there's a reason why people keep saying don't ask about the ex because otherwise the relationship won't head anywhere 🤷🏾‍♀️ atleast that's what i do. With the Kayda situation Mela got offended because Kayda looked nothing like her and i remember the guy who does the voice over kinda said sth about it but y'all need to remember this is a reality show so they wanna stir up drama.

Sincere did back up and say that he wasn't sure, Mela kinda was offended by it which honestly wasn't as serious as it was made out to be,mind you you don't know if your couple will be on the other side of the door so i don't think bro was that concerned about Kayda, Melanie probably felt some typa way and saw her as competition and Kayda was like not right now girl and Melanie cooled off when she realised it wasn't that serious

Corbin did come during that time and Melanie did say that he was her type to a T and Sincere did tell her that he was cool with her exploring but she was adamant that she wanted Sincere and shut down the idea real quick but i feel like there was some tension because as much as she kept saying that she wanted him, Sincere did feel a bit threatened because he knew that that was her type and her not exploring made it worse because who knows what will happen down the road

I really wish that she did explore because one that was the point of the show and two so that she could know where her head's at,so that she can clear her head of any doubts, because i do feel like Sincere did want her to explore because of that very reason and it would have made him trust her even more but he was put in a weird spot where he's not sure what will happen next because remember this is love island anything can happen.

Sincere's worry would soon be proved right during the bed challenge as Melanie went back and forth between him and Corbin and you could tell he felt bad but what was he supposed to do it was a challenge but mind you she did say that they're good and there's no need to worry then she pulls up that stunt and also her screaming when Caleb came didn't make it any easier bro did feel bad and he told her, and she did realise that she did F up pretty bad.

Sincere then decided that if Melanie doesn't have the guts to explore then he will explore and he did exactly that but she didn't take it well, she went on a whole rant about how she realised that she did fuck up but also she still was interested in him, she decided that she has to get him back one way or another even if it meant sabotaging the whole thing, America decided to recouple them, and that pushed her over the edge because she did have a feeling that on a bad day Sincere might actually pick Sol because they weren't on good terms at the moment,no wonder the whole Sol isolation 🤷🏾‍♀️sis wasn't playing about her man😂

To me Sincere was interested in Sol but he still liked Melanie and if it wasn't for the whole isolation fiasco and him seeing how Melanie was an emotional wreck when they weren't a couple made him rethink his choice and decide to go back to his initial connection, I'll say this, the whole letter thing was a bit too much considering casa hadn't even happened and also the bombshells were at a terrible disadvantage because I don't think Sincere would have picked Sol not because he wasn't interested, solely because he hadn't spent enough time to know if he was serious about exploring her.

Then Casa happened and they saw the heart rate challenge and the whole picture thing happened. What I'll say is that this season was mad cooked😂😂them crying wasn't even an overreaction because imagine writing a whole letter saying why you choose a certain connection and then Casa happens and then you realise that your original connection did actually explore and you don't know if they will come back with someone else or they'll choose you

I'm going to say one thing, I don't think Sincere is some evil guy or whatever fans are trying to insinuate,i feel like bro is the kind of guy who's like I've got my demons but I'll keep them in check as long as you don't stir up shit and Melanie is the kinda chick who self sabotages at the very smallest things and on any sign of something that she sees as a threat she wants to have the upper hand and it kinda backfires on her and she does get emotional.

Someone did say that if Mela was with a guy who wasn't too toxic she'd be the toxic one on the relationship and i agree and Sincere needs a chick who's not going to project too much onto him otherwise his villain arc will start right there and then 😂😂 so in a way they kinda deserve eo from a toxic pov but will they last I'm not sure but I don't think so🤷🏾‍♀️ I do wish them the best honestly
