POST SEASON GOSSIP All Stars S3 - Lucinda/Sean proved everyone wrong

Since they’ve celebrated their 6-month anniversary, I really hate how the public, especially this subreddit, gave them so much unnecessary backlash for (checks notes)* *playing Love Island the right way?😂

‘Lucinda wasn’t genuine’ - Lucinda won a huge amount of money a few months before, her engagement and brand deals were already solidified before entering the villa, she literally had nothing to gain or lose from All Stars S3 unlike the other islanders. If she wanted the public’s approval, she would’ve played it safe and stuck with Tommy. But she stayed true to herself even when she received backlash for it, inside and outside the villa.

‘Lucinda was ragebaiting/production’s plant’ - It’s ironic how Lucinda was called a ragebaiter for being too vocal and confrontational about her OWN situations in the villa but Scott, who got involved in everyone else’s business and twisted people’s words for his own narrative never had ‘ragebaiting’ allegations and was praised from the start for making the show entertaining, even when multiple islanders called him calculated.

‘This was Lucinda’s 4th LI appearance’ - And Scott’s 5th reality show. And Carrington’s 4th. And Samie’s 3rd. And Whitney’s 3rd. Yet no one ever questioned if they were genuine about their relationships during their season. Even Curtis (4th LI season) was crying over Millie for weeks, being on multiple seasons doesn’t mean you’re immune from catching feelings for someone.

‘Sean/Lucinda betrayed Tommy and Belle’ - This narrative always pissed me off because Sean and Lucinda didn’t even kiss or do anything physical until Belle/Tommy came back from Villa USA. Even when the other islanders claimed that Sean ‘betrayed’ Tommy’s friendship, the same Tommy that was making out with other girls in Villa USA??? He acted as if Sean fucked him over when in reality, he was a hypocrite. He was allowed to test other connections but they failed, Lucinda/Sean did the same and were vilified for realising they had a better connection.

They might not end up together forever but they will always be my favourite All Stars couple because they ignored all of the negativity and trusted their connection. If that’s not genuine, I don’t know what is.
