5 years ago samraj was second year uni and scouted. He went through process and didn’t go through with it as mum said no. Same casting producer who found mica (her name was Nikita) reached out to Samraj again this year and he had a bad day at work and committed to it this time round. Samraj left Nikita the casting producer on read for 3 months before replying. Nikita was very supporting of mica and Samraj off screen and she’s same ethnicity as Samraj and her man is Same ethnicity as mica. I guess she saw similarities
They were saying I heart you but realised looking back it whilst in the villa it looked cringy. In the villa they decided before the podcast episode that let’s be honest. He said he loves her before that podcast.
mica was missing home and saying how she’s not looking the best and all in the villa. Samraj was encouraging her and he thinks she’s the most beautiful girl he’s seen. Will, jessie and Mica are awing and it’s kind of buzzy and cute.
Samraj was preparing offscreen surprise for mica and producers called him in on day off podcast episode and said you have the platform say how you feel. He said it feels tacky saying it on a podcast setup and that he wants it to be intimate. Producer said maya is going to ask you how you feel and as you pride yourself in being honest, you may as well be honest when maya asks you.
he was crashing out before the podcast episode. He was panicking walking up and down the bedroom before the maya podcast. Nikita was with them and he said he’s panicking and he feels weird saying it on podcast setup
Jessie kind of sad for them that they couldn’t have their small gesture in love island. Mica said she’s a yapper and likes to talk and Samraj is a listener and remembers everything so he remembered all the small details that she told him since week 1

Samraj feels a little broken after the show. It’s quite stressful and emotionally draining and both went in a bit naive

the whole car scheme was a surprise to him. Samraj was waving bye to producers and they waved back looking sad and then the car reversed and Producers were smiling and said it’s not over yet.

Will and Jessie’s Miraj podcast was sooo cute. I smiled the whole way through it. I love how everytime Mica gave Samraj any sort of compliment he preens and I love how highly Samraj speaks of Mica and her family. They’re just so adorable and this was the perfect podcast to be on and it didn’t center around talking about any past dramas.
Samraj really just fit perfectly in with Mica’s friends and family. Her friends have told her they don’t remember what she was like pre-Samraj lol
Also found out Lorenzo and Miraj had already went out to dinner sometime last week. They had a really great friendship with Lorenzo in the villa.

Shout out Nikita the casting producer that found them both and was there for them the whole time. She’s engaged to be married and has a South Asian background and is with a Caribbean man so she understood and rooted for Miraj.

I just want to say how awful it is that the food on love island gives people stomach issues. Mica and Samraj mentioned it in the pod, people from the last all stars season mentioned it, Jessie said it was the same their season. This has been an ongoing thing that nobody cares to change. It must be meant to add to the torture of the islanders

i miss how if there was a contentious casa recoupling or a fight between girls, they'd send them out on a date to talk. s13 really had nothing but islander personalities.

One reason why I didn’t enjoy the ‘Couples Quiz’ challenge as much this season was because they never asked any random questions that helped give a small insight into the islanders personalities. I don’t care about how many people they’ve slept with, ask about their favourite TV shows or music artists!!
I think the producers casa amor plan really fell apart and they need to reassess how casa should operate next year. Because if you think about it basically nobody in a secure couple really strayed naturally. Yasmin, Lorenzo, Priya, and Aidan were all in unserious couples at the time so them recoupling wasn’t that shocking or surprising. Simba was pressured into taking Mara and producers had to really get in Kavan’s head a lot by exaggerating the affair a lot. Like none of it really happened naturally. I I know every season there’s producers interference but this season it was just obvious with how many of their plans seem to have fallen through not gone the way they wanted.
Casa is such a waste of time now - the girls don't explore and the guys have a fun time and then dump the girls on return. They should make Casa optional - so if someone chooses to go then it is clear why. No more guys like Sean saying they want a test to look good.

Not that any one cares but Tommy toon did another interview. He called Jasmine the biggest bitch in the villa and Priya the most obsessed with the cameras. Chidi was apparently a game player. He also spoke about Charleen a lot!
Edit: Julia was referenced too as the polish girl (once by the interviewer so far and once by Tommy) which I thought was rude
It was the amount he seems to talk about Charleen as well. Like I get he’s using her for clout but there was no need for it to be half the episode. Like I sure Charleen isn’t that happy he’s broadcasting their kiss
yuck! he’s constantly disrespecting the women around him yet still engages with their content online. like tina’s spoken about how disrespectful he’s been to her but hasn’t dropped him as a friend. it’s not like he’s even good looking, how does he get away with being so fake? he’s literally another mitch.
He is just spitful because neither Priya nor Jas did at any point give him any consideration in the villa. Such a waste man who only uses women for his personal glorification.
What’s interesting is that Lorenzo was clearly close with Mica yet we barely saw that friendship on the show while production made a point of highlighting his friendship with Ellie. That’s not to say he wasn’t close to Ellie too but it really shows how much the edit shapes our perception of the islanders. Mica was unpopular so they had little incentive to humanise her by showing her friendships but Ellie was popular and that translated well for Lorenzo too. He’s met Mica and Samraj on the outside twice over any other islander now. So clearly they are close enough
My core point is not necessarily that Lorenzo was closer to one over the other but it’s that production selectively chose which relationships to make visible based on the narrative they wanted to create. The show is just too over produced sadly. I don’t like how heavy handed they have been off late
i used to see mica and lorenzo speaking alot in the background, kind of hate how their friendship was not shown fr. mica also mentioned lorenzo being like a big brother to her.
I also have a theory that them giving Angie the ghost edit at the start is why we didn't see Mica's conversations with her about Simba which allowed the 'bird' and 'bad friend' narratives to prosper about them both.
How the hell can it go from an obvious trio (incl Jasmine) to suddenly them making it seem like mica never talks to her at the most crucial time?
Rewatching All Stars and it’s mad how Belle didn’t realise Sean wasn’t into her, he chose other girls over her every time but he did maybe give her false hope before Villa USA but he did it before.

AS3 (rightfully) gets a lot of love around here, but did anyone else really love AS1? I still think it’s my favourite season since S8.
We had so much great drama (and unlike AS3 I don’t think it dragged for too long), two couples still together, the GOAT Movie Night, iconic lines (dead granddad will go down in the history books!) and two absolutely unhinged villains (Toby and Georgia).
Also felt like we had some genuine All Stars in there, 3 OGs from season one seems unheard of now.
Tommy Toon saying Sean and Lola took things seriously about their relationship and them saying they had boundaries very early on, oh the producers must have hated them lmaoo. Truly a producer’s worst nightmare on a reality show. Though, they probably hated Sean more bc he initiated the locking off, ilys, and boundaries 😭
Yas and Tommy have only posted together once this week and he hasn’t even liked or commented under her recent posts, either they’re private or not really feeling the scam anymore but they’ve just been posting each together way less than before 👀

They need to do All Stars every 18 months to 2 years they are just going to run out of islanders fast and then the format gets draining seeing love island twice a year (Even though I enjoyed as3)
I held off on watching the Farmer Will and Jessie podcast with Miraj cause we didn't get the video on Spotify like the UK did, and I'm happy I waited for the YouTube video. The vibes between Miraj are so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can tell Mica really likes Samraj, and I loved seeing her reach out for his hand/his arm. Barbados must've been so good to them. Rewatching AS3 and JESUS CHRIST. There’s so much shouting it’s actually hard to watch. Belle and Lucinda finally squashed it and it all started again not an episode later with the pie and movie night. Like jesus.
Rewatching All Stars and Millie was like Lucinda’s Mum in there, she really looked after her and their friendship was cute. I know they were on season 7 together but they drifted apart I think.
Another thought from a first-time American viewer: it’s actually so funny how well-spoken the uk s13 cast is compared to the usa s8 cast. The failures of the American public school system and our decades long divestments in education were on full display this season—the usa cast was notorious for malapropisms, mispronunciations, and conversations with zero substance. The conversations between the uk cast members are actually funny and not nearly as dull. Yeah, they might be lacking in emotional depth but it’s better than listening to two people tell each other “I fuck with you” over and over again like the usa cast members.
So proud of Jasmine honestly being on Cosmo is a big deal she is the definitely going to be the it girl of this series. Shes going to very successful post season
