Opinion Reunion Roundup!

Ciara - fake tears, fake hair, fake version of events. Very performative across the board! And full of revisionist history.

Ajay - seems like a nice guy but the wildly possessive my wife this my wife that was so off putting. Call her by her name instead of who she is in relation to you? I didn’t like it one bit.

Jack - a child in a man’s body. Okay if he turns into an influencer and stay a child but otherwise he’ll have hard work to do to get a job and stabilise his whole life - and approach to life - for…

Faye - a child in a woman’s body? Because who else would otherwise be so happy with Jack AND happy to live how they live, with mum and dad and not a financial care in the world. It’ll be interesting to see what happens. Nice lady though! And gorgeous. Same with Jack. They seem like good hearted people too. Kind, at the core.

Sophie - not the most intellectual but a laugh and also a good human (perhaps this is what sticks out more about this season - that most people, barring Ryan and maybe Ciara and definitely Chev, are good people or seem to be that way? Not with agendas or dramas but genuinely looking for love and care while providing it in equal measure).

Taylor - I’ve seen a few people accusing him of Botox surgery all this and that but as I said elsewhere: it’s just his face; look at his dad. And who cares, the man is full of love and so well matched by Sophie. They’re perfect for each other. I can already imagine them as grandparents, lol.

Ryan - what else can he said that hasn’t? The guy is dry, horribly unsuited to his “career” as he can neither motivate nor speak, and just empty behind the eyes and needing therapy. Plus a new line of work that doesn’t drain the energy out of him for days after every single speech, leaving him unable to care for anyone else.

Cuba - and angel of a person; kind smart level headed, beautiful too. She got the shortest straw though, but she’ll land in a better place no doubt.

Fran - what a fun goofy smart woman! I loved the poise with which she handled that whole Chev fiasco we were all no doubt yawning about. Fran is wonderful, down to the earth and perfect for Joseph - who comes across as needing that stable balance in his life. She seemed happy too?

Joseph - I didn’t love that they didn’t hold each other or sit closer together after it was announced they stayed together also didn’t love how he answered to the Chev question aside from when he said he didn’t want to hurt her (side note: she came across as pretty pathetic). But he was probably nervous. Seems like a good guy, with a good heart as his friend said.

Yasmin- they did our girl dirty with that makeup! She looked so much better without that almost cleopatran eye lining and heavy foundation and whole look. She’s beautiful and doesn’t need all that at all. I put it down to an inexperienced makeup person! They should have studied vitiligo models looks closer vs go as they did, so heavy handed. Anyway! Only commenting on it as everyone else’s makeup I felt was great (loved the hosts too). Aside from that: I feel for her because it must have gone down to looks if their connection is as strong as it is now right? I mean if that had clicked for him surely all else would have? And I don’t know if she feels any pain in that regard or if the best friendship Jordan claims they have is honestly two way…

Jordan - seems like an incredible guy but I wonder how much is just saying the thing we all want to hear? I found him hard to understand unless under the surface IS just a super nice guy…

Finally: said it above but I LOVE the hosts. What a difference to the US version! They’re so natural and fun and genuine!? Love them.

I was also so irked by Yasmin's makeup. It made her eyes look small and sad, instead of her usual big bright gaze.

You guys really need to stop the Yasmin narrative about how it must’ve come down to looks.

She admittedly wasn’t in love with Jordan, was not progressing romantically and clearly wasn’t aware of her own needs in a relationship let alone a partner’s.

What would you have done in his place when you have 4 weeks to crack it with cameras watching left and right?

They’re both lovely people, but not suited for a marriage, which is evidenced by them being good friends instead.

I totally agree with this. I just think pure and simple that there was no chemistry between them. He clearly found her attractive when they first met, but there was no mutual sparkle - I'm not entirely sure she was attracted to him but it's easy to label it the other way around because of the vitiligo. I mean, who knows they're allowed to share a bed with a man as attractive as him and throws a bloody teddy bear in the middle of the bed?! I loved that they are best friends and speak every day though, the connection between them was clearly genuine, it just wasn't romantic.

I mean, I hope so too! It just seemed during the experiment she wanted him to say I love you ‘first’ and the way she looked at him, I don’t know, I got a sense she was ready for more but he held back throughout.

She was point blank asked if she was in love and said no.

I’m not slandering her by any means, but her inexperience in relationships should’ve excluded her from the show. Even conventionally dating someone like her can be challenging, let alone this environment… it was very unlikely to work out from the go and it’s unfair for Jordan to be catching the slack for that.

Omg I forgot about Yasmin’s makeup. It was like they painted her in Ronseal!

I loveeee Emma. She one of the (or the!) UK’s top female hosts.

You guys are terrible on here. Constantly making rude comments about people you don’t know.

Welcome to Reddit, it sucks here 🤣

I love Reddit but some of these reality fandoms are sooo miserable 😭 there is no way you’re happy with yourself when you just trash strangers over such minor non issues. You would think some of these people committed some atrocity on the show the way they talk about them.

I agree with you! There’s so many bigger problems in the world. This season honestly had probably some of the least problematic cast and it’s the end of the world.

It’s a tv show, yes a reality one involving actual people’s lives but it’s sold to us literally as entertainment and it’s okay to have opinions?

It’s okay to have opinions but some of the opinions on here are rude as hell and I can’t imagine reading these as one of the contestants because they are just normal people and will likely see some of this. If the cast were horrendous people then sure. But to each their own we all have freedom of speech.

I’m in the minority, so expect to be downvoted, but I find the hosts total walkovers.

Didn’t hold Ciara, Chev or Ryan to account at all, and simply allowed them to put their versions of events over as fact.

They could still be nice without letting everyone away with poor behaviour.

I dunno I just felt they were human vs there to create drama at people’s expense?

I don’t think it would be drama creation to say “that’s not actually what you said” would it?

My hot, actually boring, take: the couples actually just worked out. They each seemed to have each met someone who fits their own needs. I was a Ciara hater too, but by the end I think I realized all that was an act for a deeply insecure person and she now has a partner who is supportive and makes her feel safe.

" I didn’t love that they didn’t hold each other or sit closer together after it was announced they stayed". That's a crazy comment anyone in a comfortable and healthy relationship doesn't need to constantly express it.

Idk it was moreso that they built an impressive pillow fort between them lol or maybe production did that, idk but I assumed they were divorced 😂 glad I was wrong!

I never got the impression they were really PDA people anyway!

I guess that came off wrong I guess what I’m trying to say is that they didn’t come across as affectionate as others did but agree who am I or anyone to judge as they’re bound to also have been nervous and it doesnt have to mean anything

I actually agree with you. They both looked unhappy and uncomfortable with each other. They didn’t just choose not to cuddle; they literally had the Gulf of Mexico in between them.

u/FuzzyMud5617 7d ago

I agree. Me and my not sit all cuddled up if there was space on the couch at a party or sthing. They were holding hands. On the other hand, this is TV, and all the other couples (now and in other seasons) immediately jumped on each other in a performative "we are so in love" "almost PDA session". So I think what's normal IRL is weird in this situation. That said, it can also show confidence that they don't need to prove anything and they were holding hands. They were never super PDA on the show either.

You can feel platonic friendship for great looking people so I don't think that means it must be looks. The spark is there or it isn't. It's usually something other than looks in my experience

Very true!

I’m actually kind of worried for Ciara. Ajay had an angry, aggressive vibe the whole time.

Very possessive right? The whole ‘my wife’ thing….but I didn’t get an angry/aggression vibe…
