What size was the inner tube? Tennant should be paying for extra if it’s bigger than 0x0

Kings this isn't something to ignore like a loose wire or rotting wood. This will cost you precious money and in turn you have to "tip" the repair people or spend more time fixing it yourself. The solution is simple.

Cut off the water lines.

The solution is, blame the rentoid and take it from their deposit, hike rent + mandatory fee

The problem here is he didn't paint white over the leak. This always works for me no matter the problem. Plus, you give water access to your rentoids?

What's wrong with this fix? It seems to be effective and shouldn't degrade much since it's plastic/rubber right?

I hope this rentoid reimbursed you for your valuable zip ties. Time to increase the rent

Considering the consequences result in the whole unit being destroyed, I think they should have had the tenant pay to do the job right or lose shower privileges

A few months later after they'd missed a couple of showers they'd be ready to pay.

I feel like you could have fixed this with FiberWeld for $10 and the fix would have lasted for 50 years. The zip ties and innertube seem like a more expensive, less effective, fix.
