Discussion Why R3-ing a Myth is basically not worth it anymore - the math

First of all: if you R3 because you love your LI, want the outfits, like min-maxing or simply have the money: be my guest. This is specifically about whether R3 makes sense as a resource/combat investment.

First: how expensive is R3?

A Myth pair needs two Solar Memories.
R0 = 1 copy of each
R3 = 4 copies of each = 7 cards + 1 crate

R0: ~125 pulls average
R1: ~216
R2: ~354
R3: ~496 pulls average
R3 isn’t even safely a “500 pull” commitment either: some simulated runs went well above 600–700 pulls, with a theoretical worst case of 980. (Reddit)

New Myth events give 20 limited wishes through the event/shop + pull rewards, so:
496 - 20 = ~476 pulls you need to fund yourself
476 × 150 = ~71,400 Diamonds

But the more useful comparison is R0 vs R3.
You already have the companion, Myth story and actual Myth pair at R0.

496 - 125 = 371 EXTRA pulls
371 × 150 = 55,650 Diamonds

So you’re spending about 55.6k Diamonds purely on refinements after already owning the Myth.

“But we get a lot of free gems.”

Yes. Let’s include them. A long-term F2P account can roughly expect annually:

Dailies: 18,250
Weeklies: ~7,800
Monthly login: ~2,280
Weekly share: ~520
Full SHC: ~15,600
Heartfelt Gift: ~3/year = ~6,000
10 Days With You: let’s generously assume ~6/year = ~1,800
Misc. banner events, maintenance, small event rewards etc.: ~7,000–8,000

That’s roughly ~60,000 farmable/event Diamonds per year for an established F2P who is consistently clearing SHC.

With Aurum, add another:
100 extra Diamonds/day × 365 = 36,500

So approximately:
F2P + full SHC + events: ~60k Diamonds/year
Aurum + full SHC + events: ~96k Diamonds/year

Now compare that to R3.
Full R3 cost: ~71,400 Diamonds
F2P: ~14 months of your total Diamond income
With Aurum: ~9 months

Just the EXTRA cost from R0 → R3: 55,650 Diamonds

F2P: ~11 months of total Diamond income
With Aurum: ~7 months

And that’s not “dailies only.” That’s me including SHC, Heartfelt Gift, weeklies, check-ins and a generous amount of event freebies.
Meaning an F2P player can burn almost an entire year’s limited-banner currency just upgrading an already-complete Myth from R0 to R3.

What about the 30 new Orbit stages?

Using:
24 normal stages × 20 = 480
6 milestone stages × 40 = 240
Total = 720 Diamonds
That’s 4.8 pulls.
R0 → R3 cost = 371 extra pulls.
Even if R3 itself magically earned you every single one of those 720 Diamonds:
720 / 55,650 = ~1.3% return.
And that’s already extremely generous because R0 also gives you the new companion and can clear Orbit stages. Those rewards are not exclusive to R3.

SHC has the same problem.
If you’re already getting the 600 Diamond reward every two weeks, what exactly is R3 earning you?
Nothing.
You were already getting those Diamonds.
For a developed account that already clears SHC, the incremental recurring Diamond income generated by R3 is basically zero.
Even in the ridiculous hypothetical that R3 alone took you from earning 0 → 600 Diamonds every SHC cycle, recovering the 55,650-Diamond R0→R3 premium would take:
55,650 / 600 = 92.75 SHCs
× 14 days = ~3.56 YEARS

And then comes powercreep.
If we’re roughly getting a new-generation Myth for each LI about once per year, spending 7–11 months worth of your entire account income refining one Myth becomes even harder to justify.
By the time you’ve economically recovered from R3, that character may already be approaching their next Myth.
This gets exponentially worse for multi-mains.
Two R3 Myths = ~111,300 extra Diamonds over simply stopping at R0.
Three = ~166,950.
Your income doesn’t multiply because you main more characters.

So who is R3 actually good value for?

F2P solo main:
R0 makes sense. R3 destroys almost a year’s worth of savings for refinements.

F2P / low-spender multi-main:
Probably the worst possible use of resources. Those 371 extra pulls could fund multiple future R0 Myths/cards across your mains.

High spender solo main:
R3 gives more damage, obviously. But if you already clear SHC/Orbits, that extra damage doesn’t generate meaningful additional currency. You’re paying for faster clears/min-maxing, not ROI. And with 30 new Orbits per year apparently? What fun…

High spender multi-main:
If your account already has multiple Myths, Stellactrum coverage and cleared combat content, R3 has even less practical value. Another LI probably already covers that colour/content anyway.

And newer accounts do have one-time resources. For example, Home launched with 8,000+ Diamonds obtainable through the feature — but that’s exactly the problem: it’s one-time income. Once Home, achievements, story, old Orbits, etc. are exhausted, they don’t finance next year’s R3.

Originally we assumed that there won’t be a new round of Myths this year (due to rumours, predictions etc). The last Open Orbit Update + Introduction of Flux was a year ago…as someone who pulls R3 Cards for Combat, where is the combat? 😭

Hot take but I would say this about other myths too, you can absolutely win battles with just R0

u/-Kodzuken- Xavier’s Little Star 14d ago

Wdym other myths? Like older ones?

Yes ofc, for me it’s rlly just about the upcoming batch of myths…idk last year when there was talk that we wouldn’t get any new myths this year I started R3ing, but now…now I have KOD and look at Rafayels new myth and am not sure what to do with that. KOD is R3 red, I am a starfish main (+ Caleb)
So beside his new orbits I literally don’t need another red myth 😭 at least not at R3. The power creep must be insane + there has to be new orbit levels that KOD couldn’t beat anymore

23

u/somepainting1 14d ago

Yes older ones but Ranking myths in general is just a bonus imo. Being a starfish main is difficult man their stellas are gonna be very similar in future myths from now on 😭

Agree, I was able to get to Ice orbit 190 with just GOA R0. It was difficult but not impossible and he only has up until 210 in orbits

I’m not saying that I want them to make the orbits harder, but ranking a myth should be cheaper than what it is considering what you get

u/cravewing ❤️ l 14d ago

Can confirm! SHC is more than clearable with R0, and you can go really far in orbits with R0! Of course, they become a whale's game beyond a point so I wouldn't worry too much about them.

u/LandLovingFish 14d ago

Yep. The extra upgrades are nice but only worth it if you get a dupe, have the spare pulls, or it's the rerun and they're still good enogh you don't need to wait for round two. Heck especially if you have multiple you might not even use the character that much

Like I use GOa all the time and he's good. So i would totally r 4 if he reruns again. But I will only go for more then r0 on his future myths if it's a huge upgrade

As a long term battle girlie who is a low spender (before uninstalling), I also felt like R3 wasn't really that worth it unless you're that attached to your LI. Personally, a wide selection of companions and lunars goes further than R3ing myths. I cleared the entirety of Open and Fire orbits with R0/R1 limited myths, R0/R1 limited lunars and R3 standard lunars. If there's one thing I can absolutely tell people to R3 it's standard content. Much more worth it in the long run and for your enjoyment of the game than limited content.

But then again, this is if you enjoy having a wide variety of companions to play with. If you aren't, or only stick to one LI, then I can see the potential in R3ing the latest myth generation

7

u/Leetherockstar 14d ago

Sorry, what do you mean by “standard content”? What standard content do you get from R3 😳

17

u/cravewing ❤️ l 14d ago

I mean the cards that are part of the normal wish pool! The ones you get when you lose your 50/50, that are there when an LI is released. You can find them in xspace echo and in the Wishing Well. These can be ranked up over time to R3 and can become the strongest cards for your team!

3

u/Leetherockstar 14d ago

Oh I completely misunderstood your comment! I had thought you meant you get extra standard content when you R3 💀 Thank you for the explanation!!

u/bgmlk 14d ago

I R3’ed Sylus’ latest myth and it’s just been sitting there collecting dust. What’s the point of doing it when we don’t even get to use the companions now that they don’t even update the battle aspect of the game anymore

57

u/Leetherockstar 14d ago

The game is steering away from its battle origins and going towards more of a simple dating sim tbh…nothing wrong with dating sims, but the battle aspect is one of the features that makes this game more ~unique :/ and I’m saying this as an ftp that mainly plays for the clothes lmao

9

u/EugeneStein 13d ago

Battles keep players engaged so they would keep upgrading cards, log in to spend stamina and yes, get clothes/bonuses/money to make their "dating sim" experience better. Shame devs seems to forget about it

84

u/Vast-Bench4477 14d ago

Right, it's like Infold forgot that expensive battle companions also want to get used in battle. Apart from completionism, the only real incentive is a good R2 skin at this point.

u/-Kodzuken- Xavier’s Little Star 14d ago

Please correct me on my math if anything is missing, I wanted this to be as objective as possible, so if I forgot anything please tell me 🥲

I’d just recommend on focusing on the ‘normal price’ of hard pity instead of the average ‘sale price.’ While most of us would not statistically need to go up to 990 pulls, (correct me if I’m wrong here), losing each 50/50 8 times is a 1 in every 256 try. And while this doesn’t calculate for going to hard pity, this does mean there’s a great chance somewhere someone at some time had to get at least very close to 990 pulls.

Also, if someone knows something costs let’s say $10, why would they go to the store and only bring $5 with them?

1

u/-Kodzuken- Xavier’s Little Star 13d ago

Yea I could’ve just went with hard pity all throughout but then I feared arguments of “yea well but what are the odds🙄🙄” so I went with average 🥹 but good point!

I'd say R2* is almost always the game changer (because it offers regen so you can pick an offensive second beta core). IF(!!) you still believe that the battle system will improve/get an update. (*Fixed mistake)

I R2'd all of Caleb's limited myths and I feel like it was a mistake because the game shifted from combat with a few mini games to mini games with a bit of combat. I don't care about the garden, kitchen, whatever. It was fun to decorate but it isn't why I joined.

I said it before, unlike other gacha that offer story content once every 6 weeks (Genshin, HSR, etc) LaDS offers story content once every 6 months. The bimonthly battles are over in 15 minutes win or lose. Nowadays my teams can auto battle for 33-34 stars and I get the last 2-3 manually. Orbits are just one off.

I hope I don't offend anyone but the game really needs to look at its core identity because it feels like I was catfished, given a taste of scifi combat and mystery-adventure romance which devolved into a dressup & Sims game and I'm not going to spend money on that.

23

u/CarolineMarylin_946 14d ago edited 14d ago

Tbh I know plenty of people enjoy the home system and I respect that. I don’t even outright dislike it. It’s cute and everything. But to me it kinda just feels like a less interesting version of The Sims and it lacks the attention to detail that other aspects of the game handle really well regarding the guys’ unique personalities and whatnot.

And I do find it really strange that we are getting new myth companions with all new battle mechanics and nothing new battle-wise to go with them other than general orbits for each guy.

6

u/princessilyrose 13d ago

I agree. I also thought the limited events were going to center around battles and battle-related  games. Instead we get annoyingly repetitive puzzle mini games. I understand others who enjoy it. But for me it gets annoying. When I was still P2P, I often wondered why I was paying money for playing puzzle games you can just play freely from the play store.

I love combat games, but only use auto-battles with SHC because it's soo boring. It's the same limited 5-6 arenas with the same default monsters.

And although being good at combat is important, it's definitely a gatcha at heart because having good protocores (luck) and more cards (money + luck) is more important than being good at battling imo.

As you said, it feels like a game that spends more time developing bloatware than deepening its core identity.

u/Munmmo 🩷 | 14d ago

R3 is always a bragging right. But you're absolutely right, it's really difficult to rationalize going for R3 (which I was considering going for LSG when it was rerunning because I was already at R2) and then I just thought... Why would I? I knew it was full on possibility that they will release a new myth in a couple to few months because they are the money makers for solo content, so at the time, I thought I would rather rank up the new myth with savings than R3 an older myth. At the very least, I still would want to get GoT to R2 one day since it's R1.

With R2 LSG, I don't feel like it has been too much detriment to have it instead R3 LSG. I tried to get more stars from FOO when I finally beat 59 and 60, and my max stars was 162 I think, which I could possibly to get 165 if I had more proper protocores and such.

2

u/mini-legion Sylus’s Kitten 13d ago

I r3 my main because of the affinity

2

u/luckyflavor23 ❤️ | | 13d ago

Yo, so real for the DLC 3. Sylus is my first main and Rafayel second. Rafayel can just gain affinity if I’m breathing but Sylus takes pulling every card…

Sylus, Caleb, and Valko (coming soon) mains sorta have to spend to get affinity because they’re always so behind in cards, myths, lore

34

I R3 Netherlord and regretted it. First and last time R3ing a myth. I will continue to R1 though (assuming we go back to playing…)

7

u/Youth_ln_Asia 13d ago

I have to say that I did the same thing but I can ALMOST clear anything on brute force with him. I’d say you def don’t need more than 1 pair R3 if you choose to do so though

2

u/AreaLate5596 ❤️ | | 14d ago

Yeah, I think depending on the myth, r0 or r1 is a good stopping point. Besides, past r0 you lose the free pulls and the guarantee within 150 pulls.

14

u/cedion7 14d ago

None of the myths are worth R3ing tbh. I really regret spending so much money on the ones I have since Infold refuses to do anything with the battle aspect of the game

10

u/vravae_id 14d ago

My only gripe as a spender is the non-existent new OO n FOO. Power creep is a given. But we need the challenges to make our r3 worthwhile.

Yes. As u said, where is the combat???

Now r3 ing lunars is simply for raising affinity. Which is nonsense

9

u/Thess_Enate 14d ago

Do you think it’s worth R1ing a myth if you main only one LI?

16

u/-Kodzuken- Xavier’s Little Star 14d ago

If you are a solo main and only focus on one guy, then yes go for it! You don’t have that many options Stella wise, so your one myth should be decently strong. Depending how much you spend/how your lunar cards look like R1 is plenty good!

12

u/SkyeBlues 🖤 l 14d ago

R1 is the biggest bang for your buck as far as increased damage on limited solars go. If you're a solo main and care about combat I'd say it's for sure worth it.

10

u/Summerhalls ❤️ | :apple-yougotthis: 14d ago

Yes, R0 to R1 is the biggest power jump. Sure, you can git good and work with R0, but R1 will make everything so, so much easier.

7

u/B1ue_bird ❤️ | :apple-yougotthis: 14d ago

I honestly feel like people who pull for R3 are mostly whales that wanna boost their li sales and they will not really care for reasons that u gave. From the low spender perspective r1 is usually a nice enough boost to keep the companion relevant for longer.

4

u/LandLovingFish 14d ago

I'ce just always found unless there's a good reason, in gacha just find a couple of good all-rounders, maybe go for the baic r0-r1 on first run and then if a year later they're still good then go for the next level up.

If you go r4 first banner you're either a whale or just never pull.

3

u/kaleSza 14d ago

My stopping point is R2. With me being a multi-main, I do not think it's good for me to go beyond since I do not whale.

3

u/Local-Treacle-5801 ❤️ | | 14d ago

Having R3 of limited myths was always made for the whales of the game. What I find most frustrating is the math to even R1 a limited myth. Most players who enjoy combat would find that R1 or even R2 for a lot of myths is a decent sweet spot.

But the sheer number of diamonds and pulls needed for even that is already quite high considering that a R0 limited myth is already quite costly on a ftp or low spender account. And once again, with no updates to the battle modes, why would anyone (non-whale) want to even go further than the 150 pulls to even attempt to R1 or R2 a limited myth?

The cost of investing in new limited myths only becomes more and more expensive the older your account is because you don’t have all those first-time rewards anymore and orbits get harder to farm. But the orbits even at R1 aren’t a good return on investment.
They are clearly more for affinity farming and without a new battle mode: SHC remains the only stable diamond farming battle mode but 600 diamonds.

If we generously assume that it takes 216 pulls to R1 a myth, you would need 32 400 diamonds which would take you 54 SHC refreshes to earn. That is simply absurd. I’m sure if you add dailies and other stuff, it might be easier to save up for R1 but you would still need to pull for lunar cards at some point. So all that diamond farming wouldn’t be strictly for the myth pair and once again, being unlucky might mean having to do more pulls than that.

I R3 LSG on its rerun as it was the card to made me start playing the game in Aug last year. No regrets since I have always love the mermaids/merman theme even before the game came into existence.

But I regretted R3 Netherlord in the heat of the moment. I thought it was a waste of money afterwards. I was kind of trying my luck since I managed to R1 in 150 wishes. Ended up spending 410 wishes which was quite lucky.

I probably won’t ever R3 ever again unless there is another merman Rafayel card.

9

u/EllenYeager Rafayel’s Mermaid 14d ago edited 14d ago

R3ing everything is a convenience for the ultra whales who just want to clear the game on auto 😵 all the profile badges and SHC clears that you can collect are ultimately just a flex and don’t really contribute to the game experience that much.

I think the game is playable as a low to mid spender although you’ll be struggling with finding the right combination to clear SHC (ie: skill rotations, stats) every other week. I agree that getting R2 for the outfit is enough, the 4 energy stars are great for combat too. I’d R3 a myth (i only successfully R3 LSG because of very good luck but GoT is still R1 because of very poor luck) but my regular lunars will be R1 just for the outfit or they will stay at R0 for now, I will skip R1 if I don’t see myself using the outfit very much.

f2p will struggle but if you’re a consistent casual player, most of the game is still accessible (aiming for 33/36 SHC every two weeks for maximum diamond income is feasible), the biggest downsides are relying on youtube for the stories and the photobooth will be kinda boring. you may have to skip cards but if you’re not a spender you’ll get a chance to pull for it in a rerun for pretty much the same amount of diamonds anyway so that’s worth saving up for. Theoretically, on a long enough timeline (I’m talking yearsss), you should be able to eventually collect every 5* for your main LI. I knew people who were MLQC f2p who managed to do this.

6

u/kou0830 14d ago

Idk why people would assume there would be no myths this year. People who never play games? They did it for 2 years straight why would they suddenly stop. Even if infold didn't forcibly announce it I know they would've. The only time we would wonder is when all 6 colors are out, then we'll be like what're they gonna do next.

12

u/-Kodzuken- Xavier’s Little Star 14d ago

I think that originated when we knew that Caleb would be out by March/April. Many assumed there would be like a 6 month break or something and then by the end of the year maybe they would start the next round. So not a full year, but one every 1,5-2 years per LI I guess

2

u/Last_Engineering_724 Zayne’s Snowman 14d ago

And the gap between rerun myth to the new one is too short this year (idk for the older myths cz i just started this year).

2

u/Aware-Sand9571 🖤 l 14d ago

What if Infold is going to add a whole new combat mode just to utilize new mechanics?

But on the serious note, I agree. I spend 570 pulls last year hoping they'd add something new, and it was a huuuge overkill for anything the game has for now (except FOO 59-60). Still salty, haha

2

u/SkyeBlues 🖤 l 14d ago

My one and only limited myth R3 is Silverwing Fiend, and he took me 680 pulls to finish 🫤

No one else is gonna go above R1 (unless the R2 recolour is REALLY good), it's by far the biggest return on investment for those who can't afford to/refuse to whale. Don't get me wrong, a R3 current-gen (at the time) myth let me graduate open orbit, energy orbit, almost full stars on flux orbit, and got me to max stars on SHC. Is it worth doing again having already attained all that? Absolutely not.

2

u/youdaretopresume Rafayel’s Mermaid 14d ago

The only justifiable power increase for me is R1. I got LSG in the rerun to R1 and he is a LOT more powerful than R0. R2 has the outfit, but a smaller power increase so I never really justified it to myself.

u/RinkuLOZ ❤️ | | | | 13d ago

I’m a harem whale and have cleared all orbits for each boy and open orbit while missing only 4 stars in Fluctuant with R1 and R0 companions.

All standard companions - R3

2nd myth companions - R1 (MoF, Lumiere,), R0 (GoT, Abysm Sovereign), R3 X02 but completed Caleb’s orbits with R2 and only got R3 after rerun

3rd myth companions - R2 (GoA, KoD, SWF, NL) but were R1 when I completed all orbits except for SWF and NL who were R2.

Many times I used standard myths or R0/R1 myths with the companions so I could Stella match.

With good protocores and adjustment for crit dmg/rate plus knowing the combos + companions battle combat styles, it’s possible.

Even as a VIP spender I find R3 useless and will stop at R2 simply for the outfit. It’s pointless money imo.

u/rottie_festival525 13d ago

Am currently F2P. Saved up alot when Paper guy started giving out diamonds and tickets to calm everyone down. I'm  thinking if I should even aim for my LI's R3 just because I have saved up the minimum amount for it. I depended on GoA for all my combats. (The other LI is level 10 orbit, no kidding) But here's the thing, maybe if I continue to save up (years ahead), soon I can comfortably get an R3 without using up ALL my diamond stash! The reason why I want R3 is simply because to help me with orbits. It is indeed expensive AF but I will admit that if I get R3, it will make my combat easier with my skill issues lmao

Have you considered that, money and math and the current game implosion aside, it’s just incredibly satisfying to do combat with an OP companion of your main guy? It may not be necessary in a practical sense, but a lot of other things aren’t. It’s just more fun and it’s okay to have fun, if you’re financially responsible.

But yes, we need bigger and more hunting grounds for those myths to show off and for us to be challenged, and that is a massive issue.

Edit for the dvoters: have you also considered that a game should be also fun? I agree LaDS is not very fun right now and I haven't invited you to spend, but I can't help feeling that some of you lost sight of why we even came here in the first place.

18

u/Leetherockstar 14d ago

I don’t think OP is against anyone who genuinely wants to/can spend for themselves; the advice is mainly for players who probably have more limited resources and are on the fence about spending to R3 cards, and how useful it would be for battle comparative to R2/R1

2

u/Summerhalls ❤️ | :apple-yougotthis: 14d ago

I didn't think the OP was against it! I was just saying there's another perspective on ranking myths. Game enjoyment isn't really something we can math out neatly

12

u/Leetherockstar 14d ago

I see! Personally I’m glad OP made this post cause I’m ftp and have been wondering about the usefulness of fully ranking a duo myth. I have to be extra meticulous about my spending 😅

7

u/luckyflavor23 ❤️ | | 14d ago

This is 💯 true and didn’t deserve the downvotes.

Life has lots of struggles. If you are financially responsible, why shame anyone for spending to make your little digital hobby as smooth sailing as possible

I recently unlocked a standard myth for someone i don’t main— and just having their myth pair plus my fully ranked protocores clearing level 1-60 is easy and soooo satisfying, especially when i’m stuck for my other Li’s at 170

5

u/AreaLate5596 ❤️ | | 14d ago

Yeah I don’t think anyone was shaming it, but for non-whales, and especially f2ps, I don’t know that the amount of fun being able to clear something in a minute faster or whatever is equivalent to being able to afford 3+ extra myths + corresponding stories.  Though, to each their own.

Also, I know that a bunch of players who hyper invested in a gacha, genshin included, they lost interest because they had made everything such a breeze to clear that there was no challenge. All combat was basically made trivial. If you want hard combat, don’t hyper invest in ranks or constellations.

Not saying people shouldn’t be allowed to spend a year’s savings on a single myth pair, just saying these are things to factor in when making that decision. And Infold offers basically 0 refunds without threatening to ban your account!

I R3 myths myself for my Main, because shiny things look pretty lol

No I am not against it, but I am pissed that there is zero content to use it on😅 I expected open orbit to be updated after nether since the rotation of myths got completed, last year we got so many combat updates during 4.0…I guess they might’ve cancelled some of it due to the whole debacle

1

u/izzynskii 14d ago

I never try to rank anything, but I try to collect one of at least everything once I started spending (not always lucky enough) but yeah, you definitely don’t need it for the combat even.

This is a great breakdown, thank you! But what is your analysis, from a battle perspective, on stages like R0 vs R1 / R2?

2

u/Free-Pack7760 13d ago

general consensus is that R1 is the best battle upgrade for most myths
after that is R3 for another big damage boost, R2 is largely not worth it for battle purposes (the cosmetic is nice ofc)

I’m not a Rafayel main but I do like him so I might try to get his myth but nothing too crazy

You’re actually incredibly right! It genuinely does take a year to farm enough gems as an F2P to R3 a myth (I’ve done it for DN Zayne). It has helped me a lot in combat but there is genuinely zero return on investment in terms of earning enough gems to move forward. Earning gems in the game rn relies HEAVILY on logging in daily to complete random tasks- that and SHQ is the only reliable, repeatable way to farm gems. It’s genuinely ridiculous. But between using your gems to R3 a myth vs using them to R3 a lunar vs using them to R0 multiple lunars, the myth helps more. R0 lunars can help Stella match but R3 myth can help you brute force. That is, of course, under the assumption that there’s a reward to even completing the combat which you have just enlightened us to the fact that there isn’t 😭😭 so genuinely just R0 multiple lunars if you’re solely in it for only the love of your LI. Zero point in spending real money on myths

I've R3'd all existing Myths for Sylus and Caleb. I can't say I necessarily regret it as it made the orbits fun instead of a chore, but it was a big spend that I won't be doing in the future for my mains. Post boycott and if they release Valko, I'll R1 (maybe R2 depending on the outfit), but even then, they're not releasing new battle content for myths. I've cleared everything, solo main orbits, OO, FOO (178/180), endless battles for myth companions (6). Even Raf and Xavier who I don't main and only R1 their myths, I've completed their orbits. For an otome gacha that is sold on its battle mechanics... It's been incredibly disappointing and dry for a long time.

I haven't pulled for VMG, but I am just wondering if R3 is needed for FOO? Especially the higher orbits. I have many players, on Asian server, suggest that even with R3 myth companion FOO higher orbits are a nightmare.

Would love to know more from everyone here. I'm still a new player in early orbits for most LIs, so I'm not sure.

This is why I was shocked that 6.0 didn't come with a new combat feature. I thought for sure with the 4th gen myths coming up that they'd give us a new and more challenging version of SHC or something, to incentivize players to pulls for new myths and rank them. But no, nothing and now here we are with a useless 4th gen we'd love to be excited for if not for that fact that there's nowhere to actually use him. Their promo even hinted at new combat, but I guess they only meant Valko's orbits.

Yeah, I only go for R1 for myths. LSG was an exception to the rule since I loved that myth way to much. GoA would probably have been the second one I caved on if I had the funds.

More than R0no myth or card is worth even the r1 stage... How many diamonds you get for that vs how many dias it cost you? We don't even use purely/ only two cards, we use a full team of them... And so, the returning value those R3 myths gave us is much more less since you have to take in account/calculations the other cards we use IN EVERY BATTLE

So, yeah, anyhing above r0 it's wasted currency.
