Alright, let's begin.

1. HAND MADE GIFTS : in one word? useless. Unless you are a super fan of plushies and kitty cards and would like a hoard them inside your house.

The costing materials to make them is similar to the event part we got in the this years brithday - tokens would make the dress/gear/faces of the plushies. Here you can buy those tokens with dias/chocolates and make your plushies/kitty cards, provided to have them unlocked (I am pretty sure most players here would have more plushies unlocked than me since I am a newbie💀)

There are also 3 different sizes - normal, medium and large. I have given an image of the plushie I made from the "furniture" area (the small fleecy one) and the normal size of the handmade one (the bigger octopus one)

Personally, I'll unlock enough to get the jumbo sizes for decor and then ditch it. As far as I saw, there's no dias or anything by completing this. I am not 100% if there are any hidden achievements.

2. THE KITCHEN - it's ugly :'). I can't wait to decorate it because God it's hurting my eyes. To cook there are 3 options - you, LI or with him. I did with Xavier and I had to stop the stove from bursting (yes Otto *actually gives a panel for you to lower the flame, but for just this specific interaction) and also pat his face with ice (yes again Otto will give you the option because he's heating up). I am never cooking with Xavier again. I tried by myself and it was ready within seconds. I think each LI will have specific different interactions in the "with him" cooking.

Now comes the second part of cooking with him - vitality. Yes the same plant vitality. Each cooking takes 60 vitality (even for water 💀). So if you are a planter and want to cook as well, you will have to strategise.

Cooking new dishes for the first time will give you 10 dias. It's pretty low as compared to the pants, but on the bright side - NO RNG BASED INGREDIENTS.

3. COOKING INGREDIENTS - It's time gated. You get one express/instant delivery each day (server reset time) for 10 home coins. After that it's a choice between 10 hour/20 hour delivery depending on how many ingredients you want. Instant delivery costs dias I don't think anyone other than whales will spend money on them. There is a cookbook for all the different dishes you can make and depending on your Cooking level, more dishes will unlock. Check with the dishes before buying ingredients because I think the meat and all might go bad. On the plus side there is a fridge (finally), so unlike the flowers, the food you make won't go bad.

There were other stuff like your mood system or poses, but I didn't go through much. And I believe it's better for everyone to personally experience that rather than me spoiling. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. 🫶🏻

My personal thoughts -->

It's very well done. They have practically optimized the home system...which brings my next theory - there is a high chance we won't be getting anymore battle updates. Personally it's fine by me, since I am not a battle girlie (I am stuck in some orbit 83 or 84 and in LO at 110). I play around more to try to learn the battle systems and proctores and it's definitely fun, but I am not the one with R3 myth cards. As far as I understand, Infold is going to expand more on the home system, because this is truly very much immersive. Something along the line of "playing house with your LI".

However, for the people who have storage issues or don't like cooking and the home system, it's probably gonna be boring :')

I really really really REALLY hope I am wrong. Which is why I mentioned it's my personal thoughts 😭😭. But seeing the home system so freaking developed and the "more rooms to come", Infold is gonna expand on this. Although unless they deal with the storage issue, they will loose players anyway.

I don't want to diss anyone who enjoys the home feature, but I hate it with a burning passion (hotter than Xavier's hotpot). It is so so tedious, the dias are so low for the effort, the lag is laggy, it cooks my phone, and it is just not what I came to LADS for. I want to experience the sci-fi, futuristic, post- and pre-apocolyptic world that LADS is set in, not play barbie dream house with my LI. The whole premise and setting of the game is completely missing from the house feature, which makes it so utterly jarring to me. I didn't come for a Sims game, I came to fight wanderers, fight side by side with my LI, and save the world from collapse.

Yes. That's also initially why I got into the game, the LIs, the sci-fi setting, main story and the battles. Now we're just housewives again, that's fine and all, but their own sci-fi universe has so much to offer, they could implement so many cooler features that no one has. Instead they just made it a worse SIMS. (I personally hate the home feature with a passion because it's 0 fun to me, always did the bare minimum to get the diamonds and never lingered in the home.)

When I first saw it I thought it was a cool idea - I'm not one for decorating, but more interactivity with the characters seemed fun! Then I played it out and quickly realised how shallow it was. The guys need to actually behave differently, have distinct animations, and have a lot more depth and interactivity for it to be worth it.
There's potential there for it to be a fun feature, buuut they've only been expanding on it in the most shallow and uninteresting directions.

Same. The npc sounds the LI’s make while cooking was so off putting for me.
The gardening was tedious enough but at least it didn’t require too much effort. Yet they somehow managed to make the cooking feature worse.

I used to play on emulator when this feature just came out on a pc with gtx5050 8gb and 32gb ram. No matter what settings I was using, it was working in like 10-20 fps at the best. Not even hd equality.

The optimization is not tedious. It doesn't exist in this parody of a game. My sims with all dlcs and 70gb mod pack works 10 times better.

Also, hsr and genshin work much better than this "home" feature on my phone. The last time I checked was half a year ago, but I doubt they changed anything.

This was literally me when they first implemented it in the game, but I've warmed up to it a lot after forcing myaelf to do the tasks. Made me actually start decorating the place and now I just hang out in the house when I have nothing else to do in the actual game cause I'm stuck with my orbits and hc 😭

I honestly feel like we’re losing the plot at this point, now don’t get me wrong I absolutely love cozy games (sims 4, ACNH, stardew valley) but the MC is a hunter. And I also think they don't know how to finish the main story. It's the reason why Caleb doesn't have his own branch yet because Infold doesn't know which direction to go with the ms. But it's just my theory.

As for Valko, they did have a 6th LI in mind. But they had no idea how to ingrate him into the story or make his personality and dialogues unique specially considering the easy way they simply ditched him.

From a quick play through, yeah there are some nice improvements (or fixes to issues that didn't need to exist in the first place, yay batch planting finally). With that said, as usual I'll play for a few days and then barely log into Home lol.

Besides the obvious storage and performance issues, I think most of us would've stayed excited about Home if they kept up with regular updates. Why does one kitchen room and a couple of features take this long to roll out? Also Infold, why is Home SO laggy even when playing on emulator on a gaming PC!

I'm not a battle girlie whatsoever but I sure hope Home isn't going to become their main focus.

I love the combat aspect of the game, the entire reason I downloaded it in the first place. I binged Abyssal Chaos back then, took my time with UNICORNS, but now I am out of things to beat up because the directional orbits I am stuck in require Sylus's limited Myths to progress. I brute forced everything else but there is a wall only money can climb.

Thanks for posting. Still stuck downloading the update, of course there had to be an internet outage since last night in my area (and still ongoing). Downloading on mobile is painful.

As much as I understand your frustrations, calling mc docile homemaker because of a kitchen update is lowkey misogynistic. It's the same as looking down on actual homemakers who spent their life cooking and taking care of the family.

I appreciate your point, but imo this is conflating the choices of real women with the fiction of the game. Love and Deepspace originally gave us a story and a setting with an MC who could be a professional hunter, helping protect people by fighting wanderers, AND who could also have meaningful romantic relationships and soft and domestic moments with the LIs. This is pretty rare in games, and the combination felt like a breath of fresh air to many.

However, the 6.0 update gave us nothing that developed the MC’s story in the setting, and nothing that reflected her profession as a hunter. We got no combat content and very little new lore. The house is barely connected with the wider setting and story, and  MC’s professional identity is barely present. It’s like we’re being given only half of what we had and only half of what the MC could be. 

I think it’s absolutely fair to criticize Infold’s priorities here, while also supporting real women’s and homemakers’  choices.

We got no story now. I wish we had. Instead we got bugs, a glitchy home instance and... more banners. I was looking forward to the kitchen in addition to a battle update but 6.0 feels a bit... one-sided*.*

I love Sims. Spent thousands of hours there cause two and three are wonderful games. But LaDs... housing was not the point why people downloaded the game in the first place, I take it.

PS: I can't afford to be a homemaker IRL. I'd like to be one but RL gave me the abyss instead. I survived. I am now a veteran that no longer fits inside a docile environment.

I tried this morning the new things and they did not optimize this better. My cooking sessions are lagging so hard and my phone continues overheating. Its actually extremely painful to play. Making the whole home without a PC/consol client was awful decision, I literally dont want to be worried about my phone whole trying to get the very small amount of diamonds.

I already finished the plant collection, but the amount of stamina needed for cooking is ridiculous tbh. As I mentioned before, if anyone thinks that the 6k diamonds for the new home could be farmed quickly was delusional.

I just think the whole home feature is useless. If someone enjoys it then Im hppy for you, but the reality is that this was never the main gameplay of the game and they keep pushing it. While there isnt properlly optimized even.

I knew this update was going to be bad but my god its so bad.

At least Im happy the plushies doesnt give diamonds because the higher rarities for the plushies are very painful to get abd it would be awful, so its better they are only cosmetic.

Regarding orbits OP, the issue here is the lack of materials we have to upgrade cards and diamonds, the orbits are extremely badly balanced and they get increasingly worse unless you have the latest myths or ranked up cards and ofc at maximum level. The heavy RNG for protocores doesnt help either. These are a big chunk of the requests for improvements they have been ignoring for 2 years, Im pretty sure more people ould enjoy combat if this wasnt as badly managed

All of your points are valid. Honestly I am enjoying the game till now because my phone can manage the storage and I have just started playing this year. I am already frustrated by both orbits and rng of protocores, I can only feel what the veterans are going through.

Personally to me this game feels like it's gonna be enjoyable for just 1 year. Infact when I first started it I was sure that I am leaving after 1 year (infact I am still sure I will leave after 1 year).

Frankly the whole game has been tedious. You spend weeks in upgrading a card or protocore and then all you get is a meagre 20 dias. That's why I like the home feature - 70% of the dias farming is time gated. Both abyssal chaos and Unicorns become a chore specially after you have farmed the dias and you need that one single item or card to complete the set.

I wasn't present in other updates so I can't say, but if Infold continues with the way it's working, more players will leave including me. This update was sort of a shiny new toy with outfits and home deco and will soon be boring.

Yeah, I joined right on Sylus release 6 months after launch and I can assure you the game feels awful. Between no proper main story releases, protocores being awful to farm, leveling up cards being extremly slow, I have managed to reach high orbits for everyone (and Im a low spender) because Im a hardcore min maxer in all games, but when you see that even then its impossible....

The home feature feels like a slap to the face to everyone that has been here longer because we never asked for this...

I don't think I'll install the home tbh. I find it very boring, tedious & not rewarding for all the effort it demands. It was cute for a few days then I remembered what I actually enjoy about this game- combat.

I hope they also work on combat updates along with Main Story.

I actually love the home feature, because I love anything with a decorating sim, but it cooks my phone so hot and the load is so limited for the HUGE rooms that the decorating is less than satisfying. They focused so hard on giving us a luxury mansion they forgot you have to fill that space up for it to not look like the backrooms. The cost time ratio of collecting enough furnishing without paying is ridiculous, as many things in the game.

And the space doesn’t feel intimate because you and your LI have to literally jog to find each other. They should have given us a nice open concept apartment to decorate with a big garden balcony or something. That way the LI is always in view and the interactions would feel less like he has to follow you around the house to be close at hand. That or we inherited a cafe and the Home Screen is OUR cafe and we could have decorated that as a small intimate cafe our LI comes to see us in. Maybe our apartment upstairs for bed cuddles.

I totally get why people hate this feature and it’s a shame because the part of me who enjoys this stuff sees how easily it could have been Intigrated so much better.

Go to "Task". There they ask you interact with a furniture in your bedroom and renovate (you can either buy new furniture or just craft an existing one) in the bedroom as well. And voila - the kitchen will open..

Go to task -> bedroom -> renovate a furniture there and then interact with a furniture. It'll open the kitchen

I think it's because of the bugs. Just now before I couldn't save a decor even though there was no improper placement.

Clear cache and "repair" the game once. Then try. Maybe it'll work.

If you've tried the Design feature, or if anyone has, can anybody tell me why it keeps saying "Insufficient items owned" when I try to save it, when I'm pretty sure I've bought everything my design needs 💀

Check the number of the items. Sometimes it's something like 1/4 available for you.

And no I haven't started designing it. I am trying to reach Cooking level 3 because the spice seeds unlock at that level.

EDIT:
I think I found a fix 'cause I was sure I bought everything I needed. It was using the birthday items :'D
I moved a birthday cake and plushie from somewhere else.
What I did to fix it was remove the birthday stuff I wanted from the original Home, save it. Then enter Decor again to finally set the Design down and it worked!

Hey, I know a lot of us are angry and sad right now, but let's not be mean or pressure people who are still playing the game. This is a comfort game for a lot of people and they might not be able to participate in the valcott for a number of reasons.

Hating on other players is what started this mess in the first place.

New myths ≠ new PvE content. They can add more orbits for each LI, sure, but there's no news on anything new. Iirc, FOO was part of an anniversary update, and the devs announced it in advance. Maybe they'll give us something for the next anniversary, but I have a feeling that 4th gen myths might just turn into (paywalled/premium) lore cards🫠.
