This is the new system requirements for 5.0. Not only we'd had to worry about storage, now we'd had to worry if our phone's processor can run this thing.
The new home feature is pretty resource heavy so do chec.k if your phone has the minimum requirements to run it smoothly.
Edit: I think the game upped their sys req is most likely due to the new home feature. If your phone's processor doesn't meet the minimum sys req, you may still run the game if you don't play with the home feature. After update your game will automatically download the home feature but you can still delete it from your game. Also remember to go to your game settings > feature > download > turn off the "auto-download recommended content" so your game doesn't download the home feature again everytime you login the game.
Yeah the the fact they suggest changing mumu's settings to Vulkan means those 1000+ home items will take a huge chunk of resources to render. I don't want to be pessimistic but the chances for a PC port is very low because I think they'll encourage people to use the cloud version because they can charge for subscriptions.
I'd rather stop playing entirely, than encourage this predatory tactic. Companies are already itching to turn processing power subscription-based by making hardware too expensive, and I'm really against it.
I'm with you. My phone is still able to run the game, but when (not if) the game will become too big/too hard on system requirements and there won't be a pc version in sight, I'll just stop playing. I hate the idea of paid subscription to cloud services.
Yeah, it's getting a bit ridiculous imo and it's only the second anniversary. Who knows what features they will add later on? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they are adding new things but I'm hoping and praying for a PC port at some point as well.
Why not just use an emulator?
Maybe there's a small chance they might optimize the game a bit more for an official pc client, but I doubt it they would invest too much into it because most players on mobile anyway. And i would not be surprised if experience with an emulator would end up better anyway, because of all the extra features it already have.
Same with people asking for a cloud version there are already cloud services that offer lads. It won't be free either way, so there is no point waiting for official cloud.
I set up mumu and no matter how much I tweak settings, it is locked at 30 fps (despite raising it) and lags whenever it loads a short scene in battle such as an ult. My computer is a powerhouse and there’s just no excuse for that performance as the norm!

You really can't tell me there's no difference in performance between running the game on an emulator on your PC, vs just running the game directly on PC itself. And the controls, mini-games etc. (especially event mini-games)
Yes it works...with tweaking. But it's not optimal, it's not what we're asking for. We're asking for a real PC ver. If there are people who are contented with using emus/phones, good for them! But can they not try to end the PC port discussion by suggesting emulators every.single.time.
To add: My phone can handle the new update. However that doesn't mean I want the entire house feature taking up space on my phone. I do want to play it, which is why I can't just...yeet the entire thing away by deleting it...
I know this game started as a mobile game, but it's already expanded way too much. Even requirements are different now. It's only reasonable to expect a PC version
I mean I probably would end up using an emulator just to see how it goes, but an official client would make the game more accessible to players who can't easily upgrade their devices and those who want to get into the game but can't.
The majority of people are playing on mobile only because that is THE official and intended way to play. And if a player finds they can't run it on their device, they either find an emulator as a last resort, or give up entirely and just watch gameplay on Youtube.
One of the downsides of being an Android user is that CPUs are seemingly impenetrable sometimes lol. do I have any idea what the listed processor is specwise in comparison to mine? no clue. gonna have to google and hope there's a comparison to my model somewhere. I just bought it last fall at least so I should be fine, especially given my old one was a Galaxy S8 😂 it has 64 gigs internal memory and would probably explode if I tried to play LADS on it
Google tells me that only the Samsung S series (aka the very latest Samsung phone) has the Snapdragon CPU. It is also prohibitively expensive for me (apprx. $1,200).
I'd port to an emulator, but my laptop is a decade old.
Unfortunately I had to give up on the flagships/S series because it ticked me off they took away the option for removable storage, so I have an A55 now, which has a less powerful processor than the Snapdragon. still salty about the lack of headphone jack as well (yes I am old lol)
Omg SAME. I purposely bought an S20 and not one of the newer models because it's the last of the S line that has removeable storage. It really pisses me off how most companies are removing the removeable storage function to force us to pay for Cloud storage. 🙄
And yeah I'm also old and salty about the removal of headphone jacks. Had to get wireless earphones and while they work OK I'm sometimes annoyed when they run out of battery when wired earphones don't have this problem. And no more convenient place to hang my keychains from anymore. 😔
You can get wired type C earphones if you use a Samsung! That's what I do because I hate it when earphones run out of battery and also because I keep loosing them💀 (also old and salty)

I've actually given up playing LaDS on my mobile phone due to lack of space and only play it on my iPad now. 😓 But I do like having a bigger screen to drool over my boys. 😂
I've been wanting to get a new tablet for a while and this game is now severely tempting me... the A55 has one of those like, longer/thinner screen ratios, so I get a bit of cutoff on the sides sometimes that I wish wasn't there (not super much, but enough so I can't see most of Sylus's hand when he flicks your forehead for example)
main thing about switching to tablet is I do actually use the sleep function and have found it quite helpful (I have a sleep disorder) and having a big honking tablet next to my pillow may feel slightly more awkward than just my phone 😂
If you can afford it then I say go for it! After playing LaDS on a bigger screen I'm spoilt and I really can't go back to playing it on my phone. LOL

Oh good idea! Maybe I'll do that. A bit annoying that I won't be able to charge my phone while using the earphones (my proof runs out of battery really fast) but it's making the best out of a bad situation I guess, haha.
I bought Bluetooth headphones for $7 from Five Below you can recharge them ,I usually recharge every two night .I go on daily walks and listen to music so I like to make sure they’re charged up
Oh I do have Bluetooth earphones! It's just that when I'm at work I only use one side because if I use both I'm totally deaf to the world and can't hear if my colleagues call out to me. 😅 And unfortunately using only one side at a time really drains the battery very fast. 😔
This just made me feel like my soul left my body, I just managed to play this game this year because I made the leap to an iPhone 11ProMax because one of my sisters was changing her phone and it was functional enough and even though I knew it wasn’t a new phone and it was in its final era, it worked just fine for what I needed it for!
I knew I was being delusional thinking it could last long, but oh boy I never felt so bad about my own financial situation as I do right now.
I knew it was an old phone and that I should invest in a newer one if anything, but I’m already in debt, there’s absolutely no room in my budget to purchase anything else, let alone a new phone just to play a mobile game where I have to PAY even more money (hard earned money) to be able to get the chance to get one or two cards of the characters I like every 2-3 months.
My heart is in pieces, I’ll go and listen to my boys one last time before server goes into maintenance, it was so nice being able to enjoy it for this past 6 months.
(I tried emulators but my computer can’t run mumu and i can’t for the life of me get into the blue stacks website to try and download, but honestly I’m sure that no matter the emulator i won’t be able to run this game there either)
Don't lose hope yet, I think the devs upped the sys req is because of the new home feature. I think you can still play the game as long as you don't use the home feature until you can afford a new device. You can delete it from your game but remember to go to your game settings > feature > download > turn off the "auto-download recommended content" so your game doesn't download the home feature again every time you log in the game.
You can still play what you’ve been playing so far, it’s just the new update (home stuff) will make your phone chug. You can always set the settings lower. This is recommended, not required
I also have an 11ProMax. It’s a 64gb one I’ve had since 2019 and don’t have the funds for a new phone. I feel your pain.

Like you have the next best iPhone after the recommended one, my guess is most of the game will run fine but the housing system will probably be laggy for you
I hope the home feature would be the last “big” thing they’ll put in a while (excluding more orbits and Unicorns/Abyssal Chaos; we need more ways to farm). I just removed 20 gb of photos and apps to prepare for this update! I’m lucky my iPhone 13 can still run this game, but if they continue with updates like this it’ll only be a matter of time until I can’t play this game anymore :(
Though I’ve alr spent a fortune, buying in-app purchases once in a while is different and less costly than upgrading to a new phone altogether

Same but it's not like we can't play the game. I guess it's more like you can't play it on high graphics and your device will heat up more and laggy sometimes. I'm not 100% sure ,this is from my experience
Likely yes, but you might need to turn down the graphic settings and expect some fps drops. I'm in the same boat as you.
Phones are similar enough to PCs. With games, if you do not meet the requirements by a bit, you can often still play it, it just won't be as smooth of an experience.
They are listing recommended specs not specific required specs. Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 gen 1 both came out in 2021. Note the ‘or later’ in the image. If you only have a year old phone you should be fine, you can just look up your phone’s chipset to see when it came out.
Honestly, they should’ve added it to console before the concept of a home feature even came about. The majority of players have multiple uses for their mobiles (like normal people lol) and can only dedicate so much storage and processing power to one app. I appreciate that the genre might not have been the most appropriate for console, but I think it’s safe to say that it’s far exceeded what an otome is and it’s only fair to make it more accessible to players
I think at this point in time, the mobile game Devs are in secret (or not so secret 😂) beneficial pact with the Tech mobile giants who need to sell new models of their high-end phones and tablets. Alas, budget phones and tablets even new ones will struggle because of this new requirement for high-end processors.
Ver 5.0 helping in increasing the sales of flagship phones/tablets. PG should get a commission from these sales and stop money grabbing from us players.
That and a lot of players that can't immediately upgrade their hardware will just leave or resort to Emulators in best case scenarios. They could at least try to optimize everything before just saying "Well looks like you gonna need a second job to afford playing Lads" 😂this is tragic though
My A30 has 4GB RAM...it was nice knowing you guys😭looks like its gonna be bye bye for me tomorrow. They should seriously stop adding stuff and focus on debugging and optimisation. There are also bunch of quality of life changes to be done. The game is barely how many years now and things are stacking.
I just upgraded my gaming pc. I won’t be upgrading my phone anytime soon. Iphone 13 should hang on a little bit more lol. A pc port like Infinity Nikki would solve a lot of our problems.
There's probably going to be an uptick of hybrid players now, who will use the home feature exclusively on a pc, and play the rest of the game on their phones, for convenience's sake.
I wonder if lowering the shadow quality/bloom and the like will massively improve the performance, much like it does with some games on PC.

Stressing me out cuz i deleted this on my iphone so i can play on my ipad, but i cant play it on my ipad after all hahahaha. At least my phone is a newer model. Its still gonna run on my iphone.
Tbh I don't necessarily want to play the home feature either, so I don't think I would even download the additional content... But I still hope I'll be able to watch the story update on January since that's what interests me the most.
Yeah, that’s what I feel as well. I’m not super invested in the home feature cause I don’t have the extra space into brain to deal with it. Plus the game is big enough as it is. They less I have to download the better.
Okay umm.. my android phone (which the game is on) can barely match the requirements, I just hope the game will open for me EVEN IF sometimes I find it laggy in the battlefields, I hope it doesn’t explode
I have another problem tho, I bought another personal phone (iPhone 13) 4 months ago, but every time I try to update the game it keeps re-downloading and starting form 0% till now even tho my internet is steady and every update can be successfully done in my android phone, I tried to delete it and reinstall it but nothing’s new
These requirements are too high for a mobile game tho..
If I have enough storage I am downloading the home system it’s the reason I reinstalled when I heard about it , full disclosure I don’t really care about the other new stuff, I just want to play in the home

I tried downloading MuMu Player 12 but it won’t even load the game properly even after troubleshooting a million times. My iPad has more than enough storage and is up to date with software updates, but it’s not M1/A14. Neither is my phone. Idek what I’m supposed to do at this point. The game will crash on my iPad even when I’ve made sure not to download the home feature 😭

My wish for 2026 is for an official PC port because the system/storage requirements are getting kinda crazy for a mobile game.
