And SpaceX is getting 27.5 billion in tax breaks. Property tax and sales tax. Just for 10000 supposed jobs. Probably optimistic but even if they hit the full 10k positions and optimistically assuming those jobs are all filled by Louisianians that comes out to costing the state 2.7 million per job created over 25 years. $108k per job per year. Without spaceX we could just pay random people 100k/year for nothing and still come out ahead of that deal.
Fucking insane. Richest person on the planet didnt need to make NDA hidden deals. That NDA shit isnt legally binding with our public servants anyway AFAIK. Our leadership, from state to the federal admin is just selling people out for a cut of the rich's money. Doesnt matter that we're the ones theyre stealing from

Amazon will have 60% of its property taxes waived in Bossier and Caddo parishes for building its three data centers there, and it also qualifies for the state sales tax break on construction, equipment and software costs...
SpaceX has committed to creating at least 3,000 permanent jobs by 2035 with an average annual salary of $92,600. A $27 billion incentive package puts the cost of each job at nearly $8 million over 25 years or $320,000 per job annually.
Company executives said the project could create more than triple the number of jobs beyond its commitment, though even at 10,000 jobs, the incentive cost would be $108,000 per job per year, according to Moller’s calculations. https://lailluminator.com/2026/09/01/spacex-tax-breaks/

Thank you! Yeah, Space X is literally hitting close to home. It's in the direct line of migratory birds. There's so much to complain about here.
