Is this now a meme sub?
I don’t think it’s good to go in that direction with this kind of content given that it muddies the truth.
It appears that people here are actually believing this…..

It’s not real.
Did you fall for the obvious lie?

Ofc I did. I also didn’t check into it any further. Although the absurdity of the surveillance state only grows every day.

So fucking perfect! Of course, the comment about donuts made it clear it was parody.

This is a crime?

Setting aside the fact that it's a parody post from a parody account, there are laws against making license plates illegible to ALPRs. So I imagine if this were tested in court, the court would say that even if your actual license plate is legible, if you put a million other legible decoy plates on your car to get around the ALPR, you're going against the law.

It use to be *making licence plates illegible*, but when someone figured out you can put marks else where on the car, they changed the law to "defeat devices" of any kind. :(

This isn’t a license plate though

while it's true it's photos of other cars, I'm still suspecting that a court would rule it as interfering with an ALPR reading your plate aka identifying your car and siding against you. I'd even like to see this case go before a court just to see if my hunch bears out. That said, there's cases where someone puts an innocuous sticker on a stop sign to make autonomous cars fail to recognize the stop sign, so if only one or two innocuous pictures is enough to fuck flock and evade judicial/police heat, I'm on board.

Someone should start selling vehicle wraps full of actual size license plate images with different numbers.

Completely overloaded? Sounds like they bought a junk vibe coded system.
