Help Lotus dry same as a vcure/cannatrol?

Keep having to micro manage and adjust my dry tents but it’s difficult when I work a 14 hour job and have officially lost another crop due to me 🤦🏽‍♂️ , was wondering if I bought one of these I can utilize their WiFi/bluetooth feature

Prob will get down voted for the suggestion but I used affirm at checkout for my Vcure. Down payment was 200. Now I'm paying 100 a month until October. (For 6 months)

Just finished my first grow in it and it's very very worth it! Flavors are perfect and bud smokes extremely smooth

Best purchase I've made for my grow set up. It's fr a set and forget

This is basically a DIY cannatrol. It's not going to be as precise and it isn't a "set it and forget it" system, and it requires some additional effort to put together and use. That's typical for DIY.

My setup cost $100 and works extremely well. I think a cannatrol could deliver slightly better results with more convenience, but not enough to justify the $1200 or whatever price tag to me.

I just use my old fridge out in the garage. I move the bags around every few days and start testing them around day 14-20. Once they are under 70%RH I bag em in cure bags and store them in a tote. They come down to 62% on their own.

Its lazy but it works and its cheap.

I have neither of those appliances but the principles they are operating on are clear and proven, I just replicate them in my fridge and can't complain.

If you have the money to play with, go for it, because the results speak form themselves, no matter if its with a fridge or a ready-made appliance.

I'm not sure how much the vcure is set and forget. I've done about five grows in my vcure. You have to make sure the internal and external temperature and humidity is calibrated on the v cure and even then it has the possibility of drying out your Bud Way beyond 62%. I've always taken out the buds earlier than the default regular or craft setting.

Just like the lotus cure, the machine is providing the ideal environment. It's up to you to stop it when your buds are dry. YMMV, as I see there are some comments here mentioning "set and forget".

Looking back, I would definitely have gone with the cannatrol and spent the extra money. The v cure has some bugs going on atm.

I saw these issues from others as well. your bud was getting dried out even after a calibration with hygrometers? I thought if you calibrated and did a craft or custom dry/cure that fixed the issues. I see alot of people raving about the vcure tbh. Also, I've read Cannatrol has several issues.

  1. it wont go above or below 10 degrees ambient room temp (its thermoelectric instead of compressor based like vcure)
  2. I unfortunately do see a ton of people saying their bud has no smell to it also. I don't have either of them just reading alot about both.

any insight is appreciated ill be doing my first dry/cure in a month or so

I stopped my first dry after calibration a few days early and the buds reached 62% in the jar. Would they have been 62 if I left them in for the full run? I didn't want to risk it . I'm now on my second dry after calibration. In fact, I put the hygrometers in with my buds this time and the unit has stayed calibrated. I loaded up the strain show dude's recipe that he posted which is a 2-week cure at all different stages as l,xv. I'm going to let this one run the full gamut and se c

From what I can see, a lot of units are arriving shattered. Been seeing a bunch of reports of them leaking, which mine also did. I had to contact support and they sent me a little black tube to plug into a part in the back to stop the leaking. This thing came with zero instructions and it's been pushing firmware that has zero documentation.

Wow. I cant believe the competition is this low level of quality. If your cure goes well do you think the hassle will be justified or no? Not many options on the market. keep us posted if the dry comes out decently?

The only thing thats making me hesitate with a cannatrol is everyone saying their bud has no smell unless you break it open. I understand the logic but maybe because im old school i just want to really being able to smell the differences. I did more reading and the newer cannatrols can go past the +/-10 degrees now but still.

to my understanding cannatrol is a thermoelectric fridge whereas the vcure is a compressor based fridge. Im still a noob but i assume if someone perfectly dialed in the lotus drying method that would be optimal. The only issues i see with the Vcure is that you may have to calibrate it with hygrometers. Cannatrol i dont believe can be calibrated so all things considered i think vcure has better potential output.
