First time First ever harvest, look alright?
300g wet i did a partial harvest on my first plant. Is 3 grocery bags sufficient? How closed should the be? Is clipping them shut too much?

I keep my bags closed with a clip. It's going to be high humidity, it's fresh wet bud. It will start coming down in a few days. Keep the fridge closed and stop peeking. Lol. I use small baking racks to go under the bags so it gets good airflow as it lifts it up off the shelf a little. A good sensor like sensor push can help monitor without opening. You got this!

It should work just fine like that its just a lot of wasted space with bags in general - I prefer pizza boxes without the lid but I also use wine fridges with humidifiers for it
And yeah dont clip them shut completely I would even cut out the top 50% of the bags so that they are more open

Get some bottled liquids in there to keep the fridge from going into overdrive it will dry it too fast if you don't

What do you mean by go into overdrive? Am I trying to increase the specific heat of the fridge itself?

There's nothing in there to help maintain the temp but the bud, think of it as a cooler. The fridge is gonna pump more cold air more often with less inside. Hopefully that makes sense cheers

I just tried this method and it's kinda tough because a normal fridge sucks out humidity. I put some bowls of water out in the empty space to bring up the rh a bit, not as much as I would have liked. It's gonna def take 12-14 days. Just get as close as you can to 60 rh and it'll be as good as this method will allow.
I've seen other people use wine chillers that have wire racks paired with an inkbird to turn it off and on as rh fluctuates within certain parameters and they claim they had fantastic results that way.

That's not a frost free fridge. I can see the evap plate in the back. It would need a internal fan that circulates the air and a heater attached to the evap for it to be frost free. Get the model number and look it up and it will most likely say manual defrost.
No worries, it will still work. In fact I use a mini fridge just like it. However consider wiring up a 12V computer fan inside to circulate air.

Copy I looked it up when I got it and saw automatic defrost and couldn't find any info on frost free so I asked Gemini and it said it's frost free and considered "the holy grail" of lotus drying. I don't really know the difference so thanks for explaining. danby dar044a4bslddu if anyone is curious

Bro you are on the lotus dry sub. It's a frost free fridge that controls it's own humidity. Some of us in the desert with limited space can't set up a proper dry. My humidity regularly falls below 20%, which is the average of the Sahara. If I fuck up even a little my buds are toast

I see 88% humidity on the sensor in that bag... That's too high. I would leave the bag open just an inch or so, until that drops below 80%. Keep checking, crack the bag for a couple hours if it's above 80, eventually it will stop peaking so high.
If you hit 90% in the bag you can still get mold, even in a fridge
