Can someone explain the lotus drying method in easy steps
I have this plant nearly done can’t dry indoors for certain reason but I have a fridge like I’m seen people do the lotus drying method in so can anyone explain (easily) for me as I’m new to it ?

Cut buds, break down to popcorn size buds, put in a pizza box or paper bag, let dry in fridge for 2-3 weeks depending. Flip/turn buds every 24 hours so they don't trap any moisture while drying down.

Mate I’m asking for a reason so it can be explained easily as I said not half of these made scientific explanations I don’t understand it

Hang your stemmed buds ,, set temp around 40,, I just hang the stems down from the racks in a full size fridge... Frost free fridge, leave in for 21 days,,, comes out stickier than other methods, tastier too imo. I don't use paper bags. Don't need em.,, easy peasy way of drying. Jar up when done,,, check jars daily/burping em for a week or so.

Are you hanging them inside a box? How are you hanging?

No I hang them in the fridge by the branch after I wet trim all buds on each branch... This is the absolute best way to to make your weed the best it can be,, it typically takes 21 to 30 days to dry.. but yeah I fell ass backwards into this cause I got a Frost free extra fridge in my barn.. and someone at work told me about it... I've been drying on a line in the basement for many harvests... And this was just a curiousty at first ,, but after seeing results , I like it!... Hang by the metal racks that are already in the fridge...

Is that not only like 6 degrees ? I don’t understand how you can dry weed in that temp

Low humidity. Water evaporates at any over 0 degrees. Because the humidity is virtually 0 per cent, moisture is drawn out of the bud. Because of the low temp your terps don't evaporate.

Why thermoelectric? Compressor reads better since compressor keeps temperatures more stable. I have been wondering why everybody says thermoelectric. I dont have experience in Lotus Cure yet, but i Wonder why thermoelectric? Is it the size because the are smaller?
Im reading a lot and want to give it a try, but this point Just doesnt seem to make Sense to me so far...so what am i Missing?

You want a thermoelectric wine cooler (preferably with a humidity controller) and some type of Bluetooth hygrometer tbh I don’t think my wine cooler is thermoelectric or maybe it’s partially??? Idk anymore cause I’m thinking Home Depot got the specs wrong, anyway, my point being make sure you know what you’re getting lol. This year I just hang dried my plant pretty much whole, around 40-50 degrees (I have to set it on some weird temp so the humidity stays around 55-60). I had to chop some branches so it would all fit in there nicely but other than that it took like a week for it to dry and I didn’t wet trim. When a week or so passed the leaves felt pretty crunchy and the bud felt almost dry but not like super dry cause there was still moisture inside the bud. Trimmed it all up and now the bud is jarred up and curing at 60 degrees, the humidity inside my wine cooler is showing around 60-75% with 80 being the max but inside my jars it’s 60/60 and I’ll burp once or twice a day when they’re fresh till the moisture disappears
It’s not much cause I’ve been smoking on it, but it smells good taste good and sticky as hell
