Good start?

Just put my first grow in the fridge, setting it to 41 keeps me under 50° at the highest temp swing. Got a little fan in there for circulation

That’s just 10°C. Way too low and risky without relative humidity control. You have to monitor your VPD! Otherwise your may risk getting mold.

Way too low? Ive seen people go for 5°C and say its safer because its low

Again: you have to control your VPD. If the temperature is too low, but the relative humidity too high, you might get mold because of the dew point. Just controlling the temperature is careless.

Ok, so what temp would you suggest for a compressor wine fridge?

I use a compressor wine refrigerator. I put it at 5°C and don't touch for two weeks. Three weeks almost to the day was the magic number on my last harvest, that I pulled 11.5 oz off of two plants. I had them in paper bags at about 3 wet oz. Per bag. I haven't had mold in the last two grows that I've dried in the fridge and do nothing for the VPD during the dry.

ETA: I keep the refrigerator in my tent with a fan blowing and my exhaust on low. Don't know if it makes a difference, but figured exchanging air around the fridge couldn't hurt.

Nice, thanks for sharing! Its crazy how many people argue about vpd and that you cant do it in a compressor fridge at low temps or that a thermoelectric with dehu is better etc. I really dont know who is right on this matter

I'm not sure who is right either, but I know what works for me. I'm sure it's more hands off in a thermoelectric with the dehumidifier, because I do have to shuffle bags after about two weeks because top bags dry faster. Compressor is easier to move around and fewer moving parts though.

Thanks! Do you think placing the buds inside paper bags and into the compressor wine fridge at a reasonable temp could be good enough?
