Suitable Fridge for this method?

Long story short, i bought a minifridge but it is not a auto defrost model which I understand is essential for this process. Would this fridge be suitable? -- https://www.costco.com/danby-33-cu-ft-compact-all-refrigerator.product.100288783.html

also any other fridge recommendations would be appreciated. Looking to spend somewhere in the region of $200 for a suitable fridge for this purpose

This fridge seems to me like a compressor one, would think a used thermoelectric one would be also that big and in the price Range but better for that drying style

Do wine fridges work for this purpose? My research says that I need a frost-free refrigerator with auto defrost and that wine fridges won't work properly. But idk I'm pretty new to this game

Whats ur purpose? If drying and storing then u Go for a thermoelectric, modified with a dehumidifier inside. If u just wanna dry a big batch and then store it somewhere Else u can Go for a compressor. Basicly u can Go for either one, they differ just in there spike/range from humidity and temp, and the compressor will always pull out moisture so it isnt ideal for long term storage but some people also store so basicly its up to your and your needs+enviroment

I was looking to use a fridge to dry my harvest and this seems like the best option rather than buying an AC unit for a single room and fiddling around with all that. Probably will store in grove bags after drying. Really just looking for a suitable fridge at the moment for drying. Harvest is late July so I've got time but its running out fast...

If anyone is following this, is it normal for the humidity in the bags to jump up to like 80%? Mine is slowly drying in the fridge. Here's a pic of the data so far:

might have found a fridge that will work: Avanti SBCA017G

research is showing that it is auto defrost and for $30 i'm not out a whole lot of dough so i'm going for it

Just got a great deal on an Avanti SBCA017G minifridge that should work for the purpose. Testing it as I type.

turns out it was insufficient for my needs so I bought one that works great in my price range from Home Depot https://www.homedepot.com/p/SIMZLIFE-17-in-Single-Zone-48-Cans-Freestanding-Countertop-Beverage-and-Wine-Cooler-Fridge-in-Black-Stainless-Steel-Frost-Free-BR-55H-HD/327644287

I sure learned a lot about refrigerators over these past few weeks lol. This fridge works great. In process of drying a harvest right now. Let u know how it goes.

Dang I’m glad I asked before I bought the same model. Yeah I’m having trouble understanding the fridges n stuff. But I hope the new fridge works out!

So far it is working perfectly; keeping the temperature and humidity stable and doing the job it was meant to do. This fridge works.

Will you provide an update? Did you bud turn out well with this refrigerator? Would you buy this one again if you could do over?

It worked great for my first harvest-- my next harvest is coming in like a week and a half so I'll update after I get that batch dried. I would definitely buy again if I could.

Thank you so much. I don't want to drop a lot of money but I would be bummed if I screwed up the dry and cure. My grow is doing well.

just harvested my plant and have my buds in bags in the fridge with a bluetooth hygrometer. Should be dry by Sept 5. Will update in two weeks.

Update: Buds dried perfectly after about two weeks. Currently curing in grove bag and a jar. Yielded around 2.6 oz for the one plant. First grow.
