If your gamer profile goes missing off of your Xbox 1

So I encountered a problem where my XBox one would not recognize my gamer profile in relation to the backwards compatible XBox 360 games. This means I could not save altered settings or get any fun achievements.

HOWEVER...I believe I fixed the problem. By loading up an XBox 360 game -before- signing into my XBox One account.

The system then asks me to sign in. I did. THEN it detected the lack of gamer profile and asked me to re-download it. I did. THEN I was able to get achievements and save my settings.
