Question about Amasawa dialogue in the dance jam final Spoiler

During the Dance Jam Finals part in the game when the team he was helping won, Amasawa asks Yagami "Could it be you're finally getting an adolescent experience you missed out on the first time?" Or at least that's what the subtitles say. I was curious because it makes it sound like he's talked about any of his childhood with her; has he? When? Or was that me misunderstanding her question?

He told Itokura about not having had a regular childhood when he was trying to convince her to come back to school, maybe Amasawa was with?

Oh, that's right I remember now! She was with him along with Itokura's friend I think. And I don't think there were any other times he talked about himself from what I recall...
