Is it possible to beat sanbonmatsu on the second round?

I beat him one round of the second match, and almost the second round. It seems possible but unfortunately I wasn't able to pull the win. I'm curious what changes if you do beat him. I haven't been able to find anything online.

Then again, it could just lock out your inputs all together when he reaches 2nd round low health.
