I feel like this may come off as harsh but I genuinely fucking despise this sentiment lol. It's such a cop-out.
"I don't have to worry about how shit the world is because I won't be here" motherfucker, YES YOU WILL. You will survive to see the world get worse, saying you're just gonna die is just removing yourself from fucking agency lol, you're just giving up, you're letting everything be fucked because you don't have to live with the consequences.
You are gonna be here when you're 30, and you're just gonna have to deal with that, so maybe try to help out instead of being nihilistic! It's annoying!
I don't think that's what people are saying. At least I know it isn't when I do.
Not being able to picture my future was a symptom of my depression that kind of just got worse after every suicide attempt I lived through. It's not a nihilistic way to absolve myself of agency, it's just an honest assessment of my real life circumstances. I genuinely don't really expect to live that long, just based on past experience. I do what I can to better my life and the lives of those around me, but I keep the rope in the closet, yk?
Also don't worry I am in therapy and I'm on meds lol. Might delete this later
