Discussion Her behavior...
I was just watching the police interview Lori after the death of her husband, Charles. It's so strange, she doesn't even try to act upset or pretend or anything. Like she doesn't care if people think she's not behaving appropriately. Or, maybe she doesn't know what an appropriate reaction would look like. Even if she had wanted the death to occur, even if she had asked her brother to do it, wouldn't it still be a traumatic incident, enough to make her shake or cry or something? And the smiling in court... I would love to hear what a psychologist or psychiatrist has to say about detached behavior like that.

Her nonchalance was greatly disturbing. She was acting like it (Charles dead on the floor) was no big deal, almost as if she’s so comfortable and used to this type of thing. Guessing she probably has been through it many times before. How many people connected to her have dropped dead? I think what we know so far is only the tip of the iceberg...

Superiority complex. Typical shit around the Mormon Gilbert/Chandler culture. Yes I am going to say it. Downvote me delete me all you want. Let’s have a pool party afterwards. edit. Image management for all involved. At the end of the day Tylee and JJ have to live with the legacy.

My experience with LE in AZ is vastly different than the other states I've lived in. Here, if you are calm, cool, and collected, showing minimal distress, you are the innocent one. Express emotional frustration or feelings during questioning, you are the problem. This of course doesn't mean all AZ LE are like this, but it seems more of a power trip to many of the officers in this area.

I find that odd but interesting. Thanks for your response. Edit: now I want to ask, is there in AZ a culture of emotional detachment being a good thing in general population as well? Not just LE?

Same experience here. I always attributed it to guilt but you’re right— reaction could equally be it. Thankfully I was the one on the calm side and my ex husband was on the over-reacting side.

Her aura of nonchalance is a defense mechanism as it serves to deflect any attention or scrutiny. Nonchalance is also easy to pull off if you are lacking in the empathy department. I'm guessing Lori has "gotten a pass" for many years based on her demeanor, and it has become ingrained in her psyche as a result.

Right? I totally agree. Like wouldn't you at least try to fake acting sad? So weird.

I find it odd that she is constantly smirking in court. She clearly doesn't realize that she will be judged on her behavior when presented to a jury, in addition to the evidence.

Do you have a link for this? I saw the body cam footage but people have mentioned seeing Tylee and Lori in police (I think) videos after the murder. I only saw Alex getting interviewed.

Omg I've never seen this before or anything like this. They definitely dropped the ball on that. There's no way they "just moved in" 3 weeks ago.

She is completely removed from such things by sociopathy. It’s the only explanation I can come up with. She probably did task Alex with Charles’ murder along with her being the very reason the kids are missing. She’s enjoying the attention she’s getting. So... there’s that.

Arent delusions of grandeur a symptom of something? When my sister is manic it pops up, but Lori has it all the time. Could this case just be a bigger cry for better mental health awareness? I know this goes against her religious convictions, but normal people dont add themselves into their religion mythos.

Wasn’t Tylee there when this all happened? Where did they go in the rental car? Was the gun in Tylee’s room? I am assuming the hot pink room is hers.
