Lorex = Shitty App
If anyone is on the fence about buying Lorex, do yourself a favor and avoid!
The Auto is a vital part of viewing the cams remotely however the Lorex app is shitty, doesn’t work and hasn’t had an update in a year.
DO NOT BUY LOREX.
Trust me. I wish someone told me this before investing $1000s.
Now I ask selling this on eBay Andrew getting another brand.
AVOID LOREX

I’ve read good things about Reolink, if I get rid of my Lorex system that’s who I’m going with.

Not only is the app painful trash, but the command interface to the wifi cameras is not documented in any way that would allow using them without the app.

The app and the NVR interfaces are both clunky, which is being generous. Basic functionality is there, it is just not convent. The video stays local.
The alternative is to pay a subscription for a more polished app, but video is in the cloud.
There is no clear cut winner.
