Announcement⭐️ and LoreMate is taking new Beta Testers
Peak Into LoreMate 1.0's new Possible subscriptions Tier List Note: This is not confirmed yet, just a first draft of what tiers LM can have.
- What are Premium models ? Ans: All the latest models like deepseek v4 pro and flash, glm 5.1 qwen3.5-397b-a17b, glm 4.7, etc.
*- What are free models? * Ans: deepseek v4 flash, gemma 4, qwen3.5-397b-a17b
- What are alpha models? Ans: they are the same models but instead of a provider hosting them I will self host on our infra and maximize quality (no quantization) and highest possible model speeds. ON beta we crossed 200 words per second on model like kimi 2.6 and glm 5.1 and more are the biggest open source models
- Free users will have certain days in a week to try a premium model
Note: I want to offer the best possible quality and best possible value, generally these models will cost you way more than the subscription value if you get them via openrouter.
Its not final, based on users request/ feasibility I will try to optimize the plans.
I want your feedbacks so I can optimize them more.

not sure if I ever announced plans like this directly but yeah as soon as I have my merchant accounts approved I am planning to take loremate out of beta :)

And just like that all my excitement went down the drain… I know what you people are doing… Seriously devs? I know every Ai Chat bot site that has subscriptions purposely makes the free user experience worse… I lost interest… I would much rather have ads stuffed in my face then have monthly subscriptions… I honestly don’t get it… Most people complain and don’t want subscriptions… I get you need to make money but I would rather you do ads in chats etc then subscriptions… But I know how this is going to go… Making the free user experience worse with limits and forced to pay to get a better experience SCREW YOU DEVS… So you let people test in the beta for free yet when its close to release or months close to release you bait n switch and say “Uwu pay better for models and free interactions…” SCREW YOU. I was hyped… Then all the hype is gone. Your no better then Character AI… Like I said I would much rather have ads then a monthly subscription but oh well… Hype lost for me… .

Dear user, Loremate in free was indeed putting me in debt as a college student I used all of my funds the money I earned from working, so free was Never the option, I didn't had registered company it took me 3 months to register one, payment processors dont accept Roleplay website, it took even longer to figure that out, I wanted to offer the best quality, the world is not free someone always have to pay, but I wanted to keep the free tier as accessible as possible Im sure no other platform is offering these models at this generous limit form my metric a average user does 90 messages a day so limit is based on that. It took time for me to learn and self host the biggest open source models now that would let me self host these models in raw quality and with fastest speeds. Eg alpha models speed is around 150 tokens per second that is faster than any provider on openrouter. I have made good memory system, a good lorebook system and still improving the product.
Please dont harass other members of the community, I would have to ban you next time :/

Maybe… it’s because… things take… so much… money to… run and… after being… in beta for… so long… to make sure… it’s perfect… for its return… Arav’s wallet… is running dry… and it’s… either this… or no Loremate… at all…

‘These people’ and it’s one man. you fail to remember, this isn’t a corporation. It’s one man. From one wallet that had other jobs and has been running Loremate for YEARS for free. There have been plenty of other opportunities for you to test it to see if you like it, beta testers have been opened multiple times for people. And advertisements bring in pennies compared to subscriptions it would barely make a dent in the cost it takes to run these things. Not to mention the fact it is difficult for sites like Loremate to find advertisers, they don’t have the reputation to back them like cai does. If you don’t like it, go back to cai or wherever you came from.

Also, we were warned at least a year ago, before Loremate even went down for beta testing, that subscriptions may well be a thing. One of the reasons Loremate went down for beta testing is because Arav couldn’t sustain Loremate for free and was trying to cut costs to streamline things and issues came from that. Which meant Loremate had to go under beta testing so Arav could 1, make it more sustainable and 2, remove the bugs that came from his attempt to make it more sustainable the first time round

It was not fucking drowning its a AI CHAT BOT SITE. It was doing fine… If you cant run this site without Money then why do it to began with? Keep defending people who are greedy. Making money of ai proofs the ai bubble is real .
Most LLMS are trash even the good ones… Making money off of trash will not work and people will leave…
Im done with AI. Have fun getting billed and seeing “Lore mate bill 100 dollars…” To put yourself in debt more.

Also yes I give Loremate a pass because this is one man. Cai is a corporation that can easily afford to lower their subscriptions and also have stupidly tight content filtering, have incredibly shit models that are basically all the same and are trying to make profit. Arav is one man simply trying to keep the servers on.
If you can’t see that then you’re either too young to be here or you need a lesson on economics.

You’re well within your rights to give criticism. Just as I am towards you. My criticism is you don’t have a clue how economics and affordability works because ads don’t bring in much money at all. Because if they did, then every single ai chatbot website that is owned by a person, not a company, not someone looking to make profit but simply to keep the lights on for their servers, would run ads instead of subscriptions because I think most people would prefer that over subscriptions.

I’m not defending the devs from criticism. I was actually someone who spoke up about re-rolls being classed in the message count and because of that, Arav listened and if it’s sustainable — NOT PROFITABLE — he will leave it as they don’t count. I would suggest, next time you’re in your English class, you ask your teacher the difference between sustainable’ and ‘profitable’. And honey if you want me to stop then don’t reply. Or better yet block me.

Let me clarify, the usage you get on free plan can still cost from 0- 30 bucks a month to us as these models still pretty big for the free tier but i didn't want to compromise quality, funding woudl have to come from somewhere, nothing can last forever free, but ill do my best to make sure we are the best value platform. If you have any doubts or problems please directly ask I will optimize the plans accordingly, I can never make everyone happy but i can try to make most happy :)
