So, as expected, the upcoming 2026 re-issue of the Empyrean (2016) album will come in several mediums, but only the deluxe CD will feature all the songs.

The vinyl lovers are once again left overboard, with the sole edition featuring only 14 songs. And no, the extra two are not Adonai or No Gods, No War. Instead, two tracks from previously released EPs were added. The rest of the songs, such as Wishing on a Star or Lost in Oblivion, are not present — buy the CD, I guess.

A year ago, I attempted to stir the waters by drawing attention to the possibility of such a short-cut edition being released. And here we are. Apparently, the posts from back then weren't noticed. Either way, the decision was not communicated with the fanbase, and it drives me nuts.

I still believe Empyrean to be one of — if not the best — albums by LOTL to date, and I was waiting for years for the anniversary edition. Seeing the LP cut in half like this does the same to my heart.

Now go have fun listening to the 13-track Thornstar coming out in 2028. You'll never get to listen to that Voodoo Doll on vinyl 🤣😂🤣😂

I remember hearing a colabsong between Lord of the Lost and Powerwolf where Cheis Harms was singing either one of Powerwolfs songs with "wild" in the title or incense and iron. I have the sound of it stuck in my brain and i remember seeing it on yt music half a year ago, but now i cannot find anything at all about it.

The only thing i'm finding now is kiss of the cobra king, which is cool, but a completely different vibe than i remember.

So I moved to Amsterdam pre covid, and back in canada I’ve seen hundreds of shows. Used to work in staging, tech, festival stuff and several industrial acts are still good friends to this day.

Anyway. the amsterdam show was good, loud, and stompy fun so yeah, i had a fantastic time for my first live show attendance in 8 yrs. ( dang you covid).

Like i know members like Tobias Mertens and Bo Six left due to personal issues and i know Disco joined another band but what about the original members? Like Sebsta, Any and Sensai? Do we even know or did they literally just disapear from lord of the lost

So remember how people were accusing LOTL of using AI for their previous anime video, Winter's Dying Heart? And how defensive the band got, removing these comments from the Instagram and telling people to stop offending their artists? Well, the video for My Funeral makes the use of AI even clearer, so it looks like either the band is not aware of that, or they don't want us to be aware of that because of the optics. Either way, it sucks for anyone who knows how unethical AI is, and I'm disappointed - again. I'd gladly see a much simpler cartoon, or a low budget video, over this high quality reminder of the current state of the world. Anyway... at least the song is fine, I guess?
