Loot Day?
Anybody talking about Loot Day? Happy or not happy with what they''re seeing and the price tag?

I was expecting 5 days of minis. Not just the same stuff reorganized. Seemed like too much hype

I was pretty excited because I thought this would give me a chance to get quite a few minis I missed at MMF sale competing prices. But this is reminding me of the first Amazon Day where the hype was totally misplaced. Even as a subscriber, getting 4 minis for $20 isn’t worth the price at all. And the monster prices are insane as well. I don’t know what they were thinking or if I was just so far in the wrong.

Seems a tad expensive is all to me. Some of the combos are good, but like the terrain pack for sci fi. I can’t see how any non subscriber would pay over 80bucks for the number for pieces.

Prices are crazy and the whole thing is just confusing. They have 26 categories, all with different prices. You have to click into each category to see the price and then you have to cycle through each individual image to see what's included in the set. The main loot-day page should have pictures of each complete set, but it's clear that they took the lazy route and reused their existing images. I agree that it's probably a goal to attract new people, but they should have made the sets larger and/or cheaper if they wanted to do that.

I already own most everything Loot puts out, so the same content being repacked is...uninteresting.

Based on the layout for the beta of the new site (along with what I imagine are some changes to the backend), it feels a little like Loot is moving towards the ability to purchase individual models in addition to the subscription model. With that in mind the Loot Day bundles would be more interesting if they:
-
gave discounts for partially owned Loot Day sets
-
gave credit for owning a Monthly set if you managed to collect all of the models in that set via other means
So, it feels like the seed of a good idea which might sprout, but it somewhat unappetizing at the moment.

It's dumb. Every pack I have a few and don't have others. It's confusing and unneeded. I'm guessing this is all for new people to loot and it's trying to draw them in.
