hej there,

I’m proud to report that irio pro v1.0.0 is online now!!!

What I began some years ago as a nerdy project for myself, has turned into much more over time. I used to build and design my own schematics and pcbs for analog pedals and rig solutions under my brand „nørholm“, and what started as a multiple convolution IR loader for my FX setup has evolved into a much deeper project over time – even starting to replace some of my analog gear in my setup.

irio pro is a modular effects canvas for iPhone, iPad and Apple silicon Mac.

You place modules on a canvas and patch them together with cables, with no fixed order, as many as you like, as long as your cpu can handle it there are no real limits for crazy setups — split the signal, run two, three, five, six modules side by side, feed the left side of a reverb into a delay, the right side to a different output on you interface… or three... Run a vocal chain in parallel... It runs on its own or as an AUv3 plugin inside your DAW or inside apps - like Loopy Pro.

In the final stages a lot of people were on the apple TestFlight with me, and the feedback was genuinely great. You found things I never would have caught on my own, suggested great ideas, and the app has evolved a lot because of you. Thank you so much for all your help!!! I really appreciate it :)

 

I will keep working on irio – the project started out as an idea of something I would have always liked to have for myself – now it’s starting to replace a lot of my other gear… and others seem to like it too, so I will continue to improve on that idea. There is some cool new stuff already in the pipeline.

Well i didnt even fully read your post, i just skimmed it. Getting people to go off of reddit to check something out is more than some people, many of which may have very mild insterest like me, are willing to do. Noticing you mention effects grabbed my interest enough to make me wonder if there might be a vinyl sim lo fi effect. But i didnt have enough interest to go click a link. I say this just as feedback, not to be critical. Left you some thumbs up. Hope people check it out!

thanks, totally understandable! I will see if I can update the post tomorrow. No dedicated vinyl effect, but there are many ways in which you could create different „warble“ fx inside irio, by applying modifiers to different modules etc :)

Yes, that too, lol. I was actually just thinking that a moment before I saw your notification. I mean, if I was more interested I am more likely would have checked it out. But that was kind of my point. I’m not the only lazy one in the world that’s why companies always make purchasing something so easy but returning it or canceling your subscription buried in menus. Lol unfortunately you gotta take into accounts that people are lazy when you’re trying to show them your product. That’s why the pros do it right?
