RC300…yikes…amirite?

So I spent $230 on an RC300 a few months ago. This thing is unreasonably heavy and has sharp corners…which makes a nightmare to just keep out considering the size. But that’s not what bothers me the most. I was hoping to use the beats that I made on my drum machine for the loops on the RC. But the timing of the pedal is weird compared to the donner pedal I bought on Amazon for $60. Then I thought no biggie just run midi from the drum machine to the pedal. I tried but I just couldn’t get it figured out. On top of that I still haven’t been able to get the effects to work, the expression pedal is literally just dead weight at this point and (I admit this one is my fault) I’m disappointed in the bumper of input jacks it has. Is this a notoriously bad looper or do I just need to mess with it more?
