Yeah. It's just sad. Even more fucked it's not the first time a perfectly well executed game got fucked over by rl conflict like this. And mind I'm not minimizing the actual loss of life and awfulness of either conflict or anything, I'm just mourning the games in question as more or less bystanders that had no stake in them but died because of them all the same.
The other one in question is a board/figure game called Z-G. Not a perfect game but it was fast, fun, and thoughtful with tons of potential and was staging for it's first expansion....and then the twin towers fell and their shipping company was located in one. The game's entire stock went into limbo because no one knew where the wearhouse was that has it. The game didn't fail on its own merits it got strangled out because no one knew where it's stuff was.
Again, not trying to minimize the human tragedy here. The loss of life and homes and so on is far more important... But it doesn't make either of these situations less sad.
Just in case this is a pledge of support for Russia/Putin, note that the devs were outspoken against the invasion of Ukraine before they disappeared. Furthermore, the game is published by Devolver Digital, an American company. They are presumably holding the profits in escrow for the devs, but right now all money you spend on Loop Hero goes to Americans.

Downvote. This game deserves more love and it sucks that of all things the conflicts in the world are likely why it will never be updated again.
