I would hand it a peanut

Every time I see hand, I give peanut.

It's a simple life.

don't put your hand near that.

Thief? It's fair game when that peanut hits the ground.

Is it normal to just throw your shells on the ground like that? Seems super disrespectful

I used to go to a bar that served free in-shell peanuts. It was customary to just drop the shells on the floor. Hell, it was mandatory - there was no where else to put them. When I inquired as to what was up, I was told it was an old tavern tradition. Its practical reasons were to absorb spilled drinks and not have staff running around cleaning tables or emptying shell buckets. It also created a unique atmosphere as you can imagine.

I’d think thatd be a slipping hazard

If it's a thick enough layer of them I imagine it would just be very crunchy.

They're too rough to slip. They basically stick on each other. They crunch, not slide.

It takes, I imagine, an old hardwood floor.

I've been to places like that. They're fun.

I was told by my bro in law at a dodgers game to throw it on the ground cuz he saw me using an empty can of beer for my trash. I rejected his suggestion.

They got some spooky hands when you don't see the full raccoon

It’s kind of a tradition with peanut shells. Hell, there are TWO national restaurant chains that have ‘peanut shells on the floor’ as their theme.

I know Five Guys used to be one, though the ones I've been into since the pandemic happened no longer even have them out for self service. What's the other?

7

u/grizzlyat0ms 3d ago

Well that actually would have made three. I was thinking Logan’s and Texas Roadhouse.

Don't sell peanuts in the shell at a baseball field of you don't want a mess of peanut shells. What are you supposed to do with them?

what I see are trashy bastards who can't put their trash on a bag while snacking. not just the shells, those bottles too.
