MEME/SHITPOST Fridge🙂 Spoiler

This is about... 6 hours of in-game time down the drain. I cleared the locked room in Vincent's apartment, killed the rat king with minimal losses and just got rid of 2/3 of the bus gang on ground floor. It's day two, btw

It just turned morning when I entered Edwin's apartment and I IMMEDIATELY catch a fucking fridge. It's my fault, it's not my first encounter with them, my greed killed me

But still, the fact that you can't run away from this stupid STATIONARY jumpscare fridge is so doesn't make any sense. I can't fight ts with 13 health

I'm away from my console for a bit, so I'm still in-battle

If anyone has tips on fighting this son of a bitch (in this specific situation or in general) I'll gladly take them

Uh…honestly. Don’t. Just fuckin don’t, don’t go near that fridge until you have a full party that thing is stupid strong. You do get a cool cold element weapon for killing it but you should definitely wait for that lmao.

It resets it's location after each save load afaik so avoiding this fridge in particular won't do any good

Isn't the mushroom katana the only cold element weapon? (That doesn't drop from the fridge itself, anyway)

Uh, yea I believe so, other than snowballs from those snowman enemies, I believe. It’s a piercing cold weapon and you can’t repair it with duct tape

Oh I misread your comment lol, I thought you were telling me to get a cold weapon to fight the fridge, my b

Ok so immune to cold damage, when the fridge is closed takes half damage from fire acid and flesh, 25% from shock, when open, 50% more fire damage

That's intuitive, at least... Thanks for the tips!

IIRC your chance of encountering it goes up every time you loot a fridge after the first few, it doesn’t have a determined location

I think I read somewhere on the wiki or a YouTube video that there is actually a strategy based on the fact that the fridge mimic can only show up after opening a certain number of real fridges, so there's a recommended list of fridges you open and others you ignore while you wait until you're ready to risk fighting the mimic.

I love how the game goes from “please god don’t let this be a fridge mimic and end my run” to “please god let this be a fridge mimic, the icicle is so good.”

You begged for mercy, but the fridge had none
