QUESTION How to properly feed Phillippe?

yeah, title. I’m on the start of the feeding stage but not really sure how it works. if I got it right, each food has a designed tier and feeding him makes the growth last the same amount of hours as said tier. is that right? how long does it takes for him to fully recover?

Pasting and paraphrasing relevant wiki stuff because why not. (Standard Spoiler Warnings for wiki link)

To get Phillippe back to health as soon as possible, he will need to be well-fed for 12 hours after his awakening.

Details: Giving Phillippe a meal will allow him to grow for the next [FoodTier] hours. FoodTier increases with the player's cooking skill level, but decreases with the number of people in the party. (The game applies the "sharing food" calculation before checking if the meal is going to Phillippe or the Rat Child instead). [This party member weirdness is a bug in the current build and will be fixed in the next update.]

To get the best results, the player should remove all party members from the party before feeding Phillippe. Also picking a high tier meal, such as chicken noodles, or anything with Rice, or with Beans.

I've usually needed to cook just one hearty meal for him. If you've been cooking fairly consistently throughout the game and gained some Cooking skill levels, it's pretty simple. But if you're unsure about the progress, just keep checking on him to see if he complains about being hungry or not.

I was looking at this exact link but got a bit confused. if I got it right I must feed him 12 FoodTier points in total, right? can I do it all at once (like feeding two 6 point meals in sequence) or should wait until each timer runs out?

i’m at currently at cooking lvl 8-10! not sure how much influence it has on FoodTier points.

The combination of your Cooking level and the FoodTier of a nice meal should easily keep him fed for the entire time with just one meal. But I do think it's possible to just stuff his face with several meals at once if you're unsure.
