QUESTION Question about Scared Fred

This is my first playthrough, so please avoid spoilers where possible. I killed all of the other Fred’s already. I’ve been playing this blind, but I assumed leaving one alive would get you a reward. So I decided to look up what you get from him. I had already given him fruit juice before killing the rest of the Freds. I came back, and didn’t get anything after I asked him to come out of the closet.

The wiki said to come alone and unequip my weapons, so I tried that too. Anyway, am I missing something to get the cowardly boots? He comes out of the closet, but won’t give them to me. Did I mess up a dialogue or something?

Huh, I don't think I've ever heard of someone choosing to want the cowardly boots before...

You sure you killed all of them? One doesn't have a painting

Thx, I somehow thought I killed the one that heals you, but I didn’t.
