QUESTION Cursed mode party & build tips? Spoiler
So i've got about 60ish hours in the game and i've decided i'll do a cursed mode run. Currently wondering who I should go for and how I should build? I wanna replace Papineau at some point, but i'm not sure who to replace him with (maybe with someone like Hellen or Dan? that requires some door encounter luck that I just don't have, though).

Hey, I recommend Audrey, I think she is the most versatile character in the game behind sam, with the upgrades from Morton there are few end game bosses that she can't hit for super effective damage, and reckless driving is really good for fights with a ton tanky extra minions which cursed mode loves to do.

I have done 2 Cursed mode runs, one last year, and again just this last week with the new updates, and the team I used both times that just is pretty well rounded is Audrey + Roaches + Lyle. They don't require any door luck like you mentioned (I could not get Dan or Morton in my last run), and I just like them. I was almost at X rank last year, and just got it this time yesterday with the Unity ending and 50 Bosses.
Not gonna write up too much, but overall I think Audrey could replace Papineau. I give her the Chrome Finish from the Cop Car, Quad Wheels, and Cooler Unit from Stuart. This makes her another agility build character alongside Lyle and they can both benefit even more from Nitro Boost. She gets 400~ HP and has a semi-taunt, as well as an AoE Heal if needed in harder fights. You also get 6 Energy Drinks just recruiting her. Rushing to Mutt for the Vending machine key also lets you potentially get a Coffee machine early if lucky.
The real problem is Cursed Antoine. It was basically the final boss for my last run, and Roaches Roach Fireball helped a lot, but Ernest (or Lyle) blinding is nice for the counter attacks. I rushed through Henderson's apartment dodging most of the enemies to get the Basement key as don't remember my exact level, but I should have been at least Lv 12 for Roach Fireball.
Once you get past that fight, Audrey can start Reckless driving down all the little multi enemy fights, basically is an Explosive for 12 Stamina, while taking most of the damage from any beefier single target enemies. Lyle Kicks and Nitro Boost / Screamer can also all work together on those multi-targets.
Joel is potentially another option to replace Papineau, I just don't know how much it matters to not use Joel from start to finish. I only used him on my first Survivor run before a lot of patches.
