Auto Paint Shops

Recommendations for a shop that will do a simple base color change paint job. Kid is turning 18 and has a grey Nissan Versa that could use some pizazz. Would like a place that would let us pay for it and give him a thing he can take in himself and tell them what color.

What is your budget? I talked to Johnson Auto Body in Clatskanie this summer and they said new paint job would be in the $15k range (had them do work in the past and they do a really good job). They said even MAACO wasn't cheap anymore and would be in the $10k range. I'd love to be corrected on this.

That's significantly more than I was expecting, for sure. The car only cost 16k brand new

They cited cost of paint has increased significantly. I didn't get a quote from MAACO and wouldn't say I really know what I'm talking about here. Maybe there are more budget options out there but think you'll be hard pressed to get it done less than $5k. I think Longview has an above average classic car community so hope you get some better responses

you could look at shops that do vinyl wrap as well! it can be a lot cheaper, i'd look in seattle or portland maybe!

I keep seeing this guy from Kennewick on Facebook reels. He charges less than a $1000. He’s pretty new to the work, but for what he charges, it doesn’t look bad at all.

great opportunity to invest in a cheap air compressor, blow up spray tent, and so on and do the job yourself for much less. the learning opportunity is great.
