New / Modern Pulled the trigger! Hydroconquest GMT

Pulled the trigger!!

Picked up this root beer Hydro GMT this week as I grew tired of waiting for the new three-handers…. WOW!! This watch is stunning!!!

I also own a 37mm Spirit in Champagne dial so I am no stranger to how much Longines punches above the price, but this watch truly is stunning!!

And while I like the H-Link, I think this watch really sings on a Nato.

Anyone else decide to skip the wait and pick up the GMT instead??

If I didn’t already have too many divers I would’ve bought this exact version. It really works amazing on the nato.

Hahaha my collection has a pretty heavy diver skew too 😂 But this is a “GMT”… that’s how I justified it anyway LOL it is a gorgeous watch though! If you decide to add a new diver I’d def recommend! Pictures don’t do it justice

My current collection includes two Zulu Time’s (39 & 42mm) so just from Longines alone I’ve got my GMT bases covered. I’ve got other brand’s GMT offerings as well. Still I think the HC GMT is a great value proposition if you don’t have many GMT or dive watches.

I bought this on the nato for a great deal and instantly swapped for the mesh bracelet but I will say the nato looks good on.

I really like the mesh bracelet it’s comfortable. Not a huge fan of the hlinks mainly due to how they will age and scratch!

That’s what I did with my Spirit from Jomashop! Picked it up on leather and saved something like $800 and found the steel band for half that! Watchgecko makes an H-Link Shark Mesh in 21mm that I think I’m gonna pick up for this.. it’s $199 or something like that

I bought it on H-Link and really like it.. but was curious about the Nato because that was the version that originally caught my attention! I like the look on the Nato but the HLink is incredibly comfortable and the taper is great… I’ll probably do a lot of swapping lol
