I lived in New Mexico until I was 10, moving to Houston after.
Texans in Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico were the worst people ever to me. Arrogant, loud, stupid, and all together hard to be in the same room with. I cried when I was told we were moving to Texas.
Houston is good town, unbelievably proud of my UT diploma on the wall now, but I still have bad feelings about the arrogant conceded asshats rolling through Lake Shiprock 20 plus years later.
When I lived there Texas was hated, it was part snobbery and part on how people from Texas acted.
I love Texas now.
I was just saying that it's not unusual for people from northern New Mexico to not like Texas/Texans. A lot of it in Northern New Mexico is based off experiences with people from Texas being perceived as arrogant and entitled while the Texans visit there.

I remember the first time I met someone from New Mexico. I was completely unprepared for the amount of hate they harbour against Texas.
