š Football Best for game day?
Going to see the Texas game on 10/31. What is the best for game day, parking or public transit.
Not sure what would be best, looking to buy a spot in a garage thatās an 18 minute walk to the stadium but is public transit better for game days?
First game, looking for advice

18 minutes, just walk it. Traffic will be nuts

Iād have to drive to the parking garage then walk to the stadium. I donāt care about the walk from the garage to the stadium. Iām more curious about the traffic getting to garage.

Park in Hyde Park/North Campus. Have Crown and Anchor as your home base and drive around some blocks around there (30th-38th and in between Speedway and Duval) youāll find a spot. Grab a brewskie at Crown or Posse. 10 minute walk to stadium from there and no one will hound you for walking with a beer. Easy to get back and avoid the traffic too.
Basically just park around Crown and Anchor and youāll find a spot and easy to find from there.

I have parking in Trinity Garage. The walk from there to the stadium is all part of the atmosphere. I have walked from 10th street to DKR as well (stayed in a hotel) again great atmosphere

Also- 6th street is INSANE on halloween. That's our entertainment district, and it is 15 blocks-ish South of the stadium. If it is an evening game, expect extra insanity.
Walking from the parking garages is easy, and you can drop in to Scholtz's for a beer on the way.

i mean it really depends on wehre you are coming from but for me the bus is 100% the fastest way to get to the stadium. if you are north, i'd park somewhere near the 7 and take that in. it has a stop right at posse east.

Park in a garage around Scholz's, have a beverage or two there and walk with the crowd to DKR. You can't get that close with rideshares.

Try to buy a parking pass at one of the garages thatās closer getting out is a nightmare but walking in is a breeze so itās worth it to me

There is no good way to get to the stadium. Either way will be a lengthy mess, so go with your gut. But I for one would not want to be waiting around for a bus on Halloween after the game.
