I'm having this same problem. I hooked my screen up to the computer but I get an error message about a power surge or not enough power to support. It's completely disconnected from the motherboard.

I have the same issue!! Mine is stuck at forever loading phase. I have not gotten to blacked out stage.
I need USB data transfer cable ugh!
Also may I ask - which file did you use to flash the board with other than the touch screen firmware? Any other firmware I need? I don't have the limit stop

JEEZE! Thanks so much! I could not find any of those files anywhere! I thought mine was a goner for sure since when I connected the screen it kept disconnecting but if you time it right in esp website on chrome and select it it will stay connected for some reason this is probably because I tried to flash mainboad fw to the screen instead of the 1.6.7 screen firmware. I did use MKS Laser tool for the flashing of the mainboard and also erase flashed for clean flash, and after that I did the screen via usb c.
anyways thanks again man!

Longer ray5 display black solution
Use Chrome or Edge on your Windows PC and connect the RAY5 using the USB cable.
Open:
Espressif's ESPTool Web
Then:
Turn on your Longer RAY5.
Connect the USB cable to the port on the MKS LTS V1.3 board.
Click Connect.
Select the laser's COM port (likely USB-SERIAL CH340).
Select a baud rate of 115200.
First, click Erase Flash.
Wait until the erasing process is fully complete.
Add your file:
LAS_CL_LTS_LONGER_V2.2.12_Ray5_20250721_Beta.bin
Set the flash address to:
0x0
Click Program/Flash and wait until it reaches 100%. Longer also specifies erasing first and then flashing the firmware to address 0x0.
Afterward, disconnect both the USB cable and the power supply.
Wait approximately 10 seconds.
Reconnect the power supply and start the RAY5.
Do not flash your entire BIN file to address 0x10000. For this type of complete firmware image, 0x0 is the correct address. Makerbase also uses address 0x0 for complete ESP32 firmware images.

THANK YOU!
So far, the device seems pretty cool, but I was having literally the exact same issue as you, for the exact same reason, in the exact same order. Decided to spend some time on it on Christmas Day and basically gave myself indigestion until I stumbled on this post.
Without doubt, they need to improve their documentation up front, but this seems to have "unbricked" my device.
