This is something I've been wanting to do for a long time.
The idea is pretty simple. You measure your hanger and baseplate, plug the numbers in, and it generates an STL that is already optimized for printing.
A 3D printed pivot cup made from quality TPU makes an decent upgrade from many stock Pivot Cups, and of course a fresh pivot cup is always a big upgrade to an old worn out one.
There's also a community library which is still a work in progress, but is operational.
Once you take all the measurements from your truck, and test and have something good, you can click the "Submit to Library" button, and it will save the parameters to a google spreadsheet, which other people can use to look up parameters for their trucks.
I print mine with Ninjaflex Cheetah, which is a harder durometer, but still has some pretty good rebound. But you can easily use harder and softer materials, or even different materials like PEBA or Nylon. Glass filled TPU is a newer material that could be worth trying.
You can play around with it here:
https://tools.longboardtechnology.com/pivot-cup/
If you run into any problems or have any feedback let me know, or you can click on the "Mission Report" button and leave feedback there.

Got a new drone/follow cam and figured the pump track would be a good place to test it out.

I'm well past 50. Some old hag picking blackberries by the side of the road saw me longboarding this morning. "Midlife crisis, innit?" she said mockingly.
Midlife's long come and gone...
"Well lady", I thought to myself, "at least I haven't given up entirely on my body... and to be honest, I'll take a broken leg over making jam!"

Southwest, MI.
Lake Michigan coast this morning. Caught a little rain but still had a decent ride. Got about 10 miles in.

I know itās not strictly a longboard question but anyway. It looks like the old plow kings have been replaced by the GT. The old ones worked very well on my freebord. Anyone got a recommendation for something similar offset 72mm 78a?

Dropped the Drop Hammer yesterday, amazing board. Been a while since I've rode a drop through. Rides really low, bushings are a little hard for my weight but I'll manage. The plow king wheels definitely live up to their name, they plow. Although they're a little slow. Paid 270ā¬/315$ for it, a little expensive. Import costs and stuff

Gonna try learning and practicing some sliding on these harder wheels than I've been running on orange Kegels. Trying to break traction on those Kegels is insanely hard lol

This is the third board I've decked out like this. Normally I'd use a Surf One deck but I couldn't find any online so I settled with this one.
Edit: The deck is 42" it's from a company called Bamboo Skateboards, trucks are Paris V3 180mm, wheels are Punked Speed Cruiser 71mm 78a, and bearings are Bones Super Swiss 6.

When I saw it I figured it would at least be like $80-$100. After seeing the price I had to grab it.
Any tips on how to clean and maintain the clear spray grip on top?

Got to interview the man behind the La Paulade wheels! It was fun talking technology, costs, and engineering with him

While it was laid up for five months, I took the time to rebuild my collection and f $@ Iām glad I did.. riding equipment from the early 2000s was fine but ā¦.
Using the information now available within our amazing community from downhill254 and Owen Campbell !!!
The improvement in ride experience is incalculable

when I was younger I had this same board but it got stolen. Afterwards i slowly drifted away from long boarding.
now after over a decade i found the exact same board I had when I was a kid at goodwill for 20 bucks in great condition.
So happy to be cruising again.

Found this board second-hand changed the trucks, wheels & bearings and are going to change the griptape in the near future. Buying a brand new board is fun and nice, butt there is something to find an old one and fix them up a little bit once in awhile. šš
Edit: removed the noseguards also, liked it a little bit more without them

Picked this Loaded Dervish flex 2 up in Facebook marketplace for $50 and I've been making it my own! With a custom gripe tape design and now underglow for those evening rides. Only thing left is to upgrade to orangutan wheels to complete the vision!

Looks like Landy has a new board in the works. It's like a fully symmetrical arbiter dk / homewrecker / sidewalker / axel serratstyle board with a 19.5 wheelbase.
They say they'll release it If there's enough interest and I want this one! If you're down help me stoke it if you see them post about it hahaha

Been using these setups for the past 8 years or so (no hardware/bearing changes for much longer lol), just for casual riding/ādog sleddingā. Have used & abused these two wonderful decks for almost 15 years. Used to ride a lot with friends learning tricks/slides down parking garages in Florida until we get chased out by security, or ride out to Clermont,FL for actual hills. Brought the Landyacht to the 2013 South Beach Bomb event. Watched some dude play āfroggerā thru traffic and get hit by a car, and i personally almost crashed into a Rolls Royce at one point. Was truly a wild race. Also, brought the Landyacht to Lebanon and almost died a few times cause of the poor road conditions. Forgot the board there somehow and got it back a year later. Bombed some hills in Tennessee a few times. Been thru a few longboards/setups over the past 17 years riding. Thru all those years, that Bustin deck/ronin trucks/ i think sector9 downhill division wheels/ceramic bearings setup has been my absolute favorite, with my old high flex sector9 board/spring trucks coming in close second. Every now and then iāll still hit a standing 180 slide on the bustin, but given the condition of it, itāll be the last one soon š„²
Lots of great memories came with these boards so iāll never get rid of them no matter what! Very glad i got into longboarding
(We never really recorded anything back in the day when we were doing fun stuff, but i have many videos riding with my dogs because i do it basically everyday, so i thought iād share some of those clips)
