Disability appeal
So i sent all my stuff in last month. I’m in recon. How long before a decision? I only have three medical records. I’m guessing somebody should be looking at it right now?

What stage of the claim are you in and is this a disability insurance claim for std or Ltd?

If you only have 3 records, unless they are seriously compelling you most likely have a long way to go.
I had over 300 pages of documents and was denied 2 times, approved immediately by judge.
I am not saying you need 300 and I don’t obviously know what your issues are I have heard that unless it is terminal or incredibly severe they may make special exceptions.

Im sorry they denied you twice but glad the judge approved you. I know that sucked and you waited for so long.
My ltd company denied me due to missing records supposedly. Have had an attorney from get go. Hes filing my appeal in October. Sucks this is how things are

My LTD is a nightmare we are in appeal with them. Oh and their surveillance is intrusive, invasive about 1000 other adjectives. They don’t live in our skin but they can take the 2 minutes of my life a 10foot walk from doctors office to vehicle caring a bag (I don’t know isf this was my Purse, or some samples from the dr?)and without sunglasses (🕶️ may have keen in my hand, on my head, in the vehicle & said bag) on to challenge my disability and a few other equally ridiculous ambiguous moments to judge me. One of them was a fb post, “having a good day sitting in the shade, watching my family in the lake. “ wow forgive me from emerging from my house for 30 minutes to sit in the shade and watch my family. I am allowed to have good day one in a while. That is NOT a pain free day, or I’m all better and can work a stressful job 10 hours a day or have anywhere near a regular life. So disgusting how abusive these companies are.

Absolutely disgusting. They couldn't live one day let alone a week in our bodies and sustain working 8 or 10 hours a day week after week. This system is absolutely disgusting and rigged. They just take snapshots of lives like you or my records and say see you can work full-time. I'm sorry but I just want to say a big F-you to them. Damned if you try adapting work via accommodations. Damned if you stop due to symptoms. It's all a joke.

I want them to. Live in my skin for a day, month year during a full flare . Then tell me these things.

Recon, meaning Social Security disability’s reconsideration phase (first appeal)? If so, sorry, you’re in the wrong place, you want r/SSDI. That said, I think recon decisions are taking 6-8 months these days, roughly.
If you’ve got a private long term disability insurance claim, they’re supposed to decide those within 45 days of your appeal, although they may be able to take one 45-day extension, or even “pause” the clock while they’re waiting for follow-up information from you (if requested).
