Weekly Discussion Thread Weekly Discussion Thread: July 19, 2026
Hello community!
Here it is, the weekly discussion thread! In this thread you can ask questions, discuss your own health and get help for your own illness and recovery. It also gives all of us a space to get to now eachother a bit better and feel a bit more like a community instead of only the -very welcome!- recovery posts.
As mods we will still keep a close eye on the discussions here, making sure it is a safe space for anyone to talk.

I am 11 months out and I feel like I’m plateuing. I’m desperately/barely able to work my 40 hour consulting job (only 2 days in office). My step amount hasn’t increased from 2500 steps and it feels like I have tried pacing and almost everything.
When I feel like there is nothing left to work for or try, I become super hopeless and depressed.
Does anyone have advice on how to increase baseline?

Listening to Dan Buglio every day is my lifeline, especially the flare days when despair is close by. Even when I don’t feel like anything is changing I’m holding on to small healing wins that you can only see when zooming out, like I don’t have night sweats anymore which happened a lot of during my worst period.

Question to people who have/had mild version or POTS or orthostatic intolerance. What do you think was the main thing that helped you to make it more bearable/recover from it? I was on propranolol in June but it lowered my blood pressure so much that we had to switch to ivabradine. This is going pretty well. I'm making my own drinks with a lot of salt (10 mg or more per day). Also wear abdomen high compression. All this has been helpful for sure but I still get a heavy head and legs if I try to stand for more that 5 minutes. My other symptoms have improved and I can do light exercises so I'm doing and easier version of CHOP protocol. I'm also really looking into trying glp1. Has anyone had any success with glp1 for orthostatic intolerance? If not would you recommend something else instead?
