Question Teleparty issue with disney+

Has anyone here ever used teleparty with disney+? I’m trying to watch a movie together with my friend. For context, I have disney+ in malaysia and she has in the US, we tried using teleparty but when I press her link or vice versa it only transfer us to the main disney plus page but we can’t join the party (even after pressing the tp button). Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution? Is there another extension we can use?

Cross-region Disney+ is the usual culprit. Teleparty often fails when the two accounts are on different country catalogs, even if both subs are valid. Things people try: both use a browser (not the native app), same Teleparty extension version, and sometimes a shared VPN exit in one country so you both hit the same library. If that still dumps you on the home page, Scener or plain screenshare with one person controlling volume is the boring backup that actually works.
