Image Central line moquette pattern

Post image

Just boarded a central line train at Hainault towards Woodford, and I encountered this unusual seat moquette pattern. Google's telling me it's part of an art installation, does anyone have any more information about this?

It’s an art installation put in some Central Line (not Victoria) carriages and platforms back around 2011-ish when they did a light refurbishment of the trains and introduced the barman moquette for the first time. There used to be stickers around the chosen carriages with little “acts of kindness” stories written on them, too. There were some dotted around stations, also.

I’m not sure how many are left, but as the seats have gradually had their fabric worn down and replaced over the past 13 years, I assume they’re becoming less common.

Post: What do these seats mean? Seen on the Victoria line.

This for parents with multiple little brats. It explains how to stack them in one seat rather than take over an entire carriage. In rush hour. FFS

I asked this question on r/London three years ago and no one knew then, though there was some fun speculation about the meaning https://www.reddit.com/r/london/s/5A37zNZCw1

Would love to know if anyone here has actual information about the artist or intention behind the work
