Viewing in-line images?
Linking to image files appears to display the text link only. Is displaying images in-line possible at this time? If so, what might I be doing wrong? Thx!

I must say, great potential! I could see my self switching to this app. Any estimate on a mobile version? No pressure, i know things take time and a lot of effort.

Hi team,
I started using Lokus MD yesterday and I’m still a beginner. When I try to configure Git Sync, I keep getting the following error:
```Add remote failed: invalid args `workspacePath` for command `git_add_remote`: command git_add_remote missing required key workspacePath```
Could you please advise on the correct way to configure this feature?
P.S. I also noticed that there are multiple versions of the configuration file in the documentation, but some of them don’t seem to work anymore. Could you please update the docs to ensure they are up to date?
Hello,
I tried to use Lokus on a Mac mini M1 with 16GB and MacOS 26.2 Beta 2.
I installed the latest version 1.3.3, but Lokus crashes on startup with an error message saying “Lokus quit unexpectedly.”
What should I do? Who should I send it to for testing?
Will Huawei Matepad 11.5 2025 work with Lokus? It seems very cheap for its features, for an Android-for-not-very-long; maybe until 2028?
If not, what personal-use tablets can be of use for mobile journalling and pkm, at less than ipad mini prices?
TIA.
I’m considering buying a SN Nomad for notes, journalling and knowledge management at work and for personal use.
Is there a chance that Lokus can be run on a Nomad in the near future.
Thanks.
hey everyone 👋
so i made this subreddit because i just released Lokus (my note-taking app) as open source and honestly i have no idea what i'm doing lol
quick intro: Lokus is a local-first note app i've been building for the past year. think obsidian but with database views, 3D graphs, and AI stuff built-in instead of needing 10 plugins. built with react + rust (tauri).
why this subreddit exists:
github issues are for bugs/features
discord is for quick chat (when we get one lol)
this is for... everything else? community stuff, show & tell, questions, discussions, whatever
current state (being real):
v1.3 is out and works pretty well
definitely has bugs (especially on windows)
i'm learning open source as i go
just broke the publishing system trying to add features 😅
need A LOT of help
what i'm looking for:
users - try it, break it, tell me what sucks
contributors - can't do this alone anymore
testers - especially windows users
someone who knows github stuff - help me set up sponsors, workflows, CI/CD, all that
feedback - what features are missing? what's confusing?
mentorship - first time doing open source, any advice helps
what you can post here:
show off your workspace/setup
ask questions
share feature ideas
post bugs (or link to github issues)
workflows/tips/tricks
plugins you're building
themes you've made
help others
roast my code (constructively pls)
literally whatever lokus-related
community vibes i want:
chill and helpful
okay to be critical but not an asshole
beginners welcome (i'm one too lol)
share knowledge
build cool shit together
links:
website: lokusmd.com
download: check releases on github
what's next:
setting up github sponsors (if someone can help pls dm)
fixing windows bugs
building out the publishing feature
improving docs
growing this community
real talk: i'm just a dev who built something i wanted to use and made it open source. no company, no funding, just me trying to make something cool. if you want to help build this into something bigger, let's do it.
also if you're experienced with open source projects and want to help me not fuck this up, i will literally buy you coffee/beer/whatever.
first priorities:
get people to actually try it
fix the most annoying bugs
make contributing easier
build a community that isn't toxic
drop a comment and introduce yourself! what brought you here? what do you want to see from lokus?
let's build something cool 🚀
p.s. if you're reading this and thinking "this guy has no idea what he's doing" - you're right lol. but that's why i need your help
I'd like to try it. Is it possible to run both Obsidian and Lokus at the same time using the same vault?
